On Wednesday 12th April at 17:40 my wonderful husband of 38 years Derek lost his struggle against cancer. I had never heard of anaplastic thyroid cancer, one of the most aggressive and fast moving cancers and one that thankfully is incredibly rare.

October 10th 1977 I commenced nurse training as part of set 18 at the school of nursing Central Middlesex Hospital now part of @LNWH_NHS That was 45 years ago and I am proud to say I am still on the @nmcnews register and a proud nurse.
