Every night, my 2-year-old son wakes up asking for water. Most days, we don’t have clean water that I can give him, and I refuse to give him water that we fill in our tanks and risk him getting sick. Some nights, I boiled water to “purify it” and give it to him. I hate this.

Starting PhD during lockdown felt doomed. So, I started to write in the acknowledgment section. Then, it became a thing to write section of acknowledgment at the beginning of each year. Crazy to realize how many people change throughout and how taxing but rewarding each stage is!
