Some “luxury-coded” things are objectively worse in nearly every way. Like valet parking. Every time I do it, I find myself standing around waiting for the car knowing that I’d already be home if I had just parked in a nearby lot. Why do I keep doing this to myself?!?

Tucking my 4yo into bed tonight, I realized that my index finger is too big to pick his nose, but his is the PERFECT size. And mine is PERFECT for my nose. It’s almost as if we were created (or have evolved, if you’re into that kind of thing) to pick our own noses. Incredible.

The 101 between SF and Mountain View is seriously unsafe on even mildly rainy nights. Standing water everywhere and not enough reflectors to be able to figure out where lanes begin and end. I get (somewhat) politicized government failure, but basic infrastructure? Come on, guys.
