🇬🇧 Sorry, I’m British now 🇬🇧
After 7 years of learning how to queue correctly, talk about the weather, apologise profusely even when it’s not my fault, and accepting that every day of my life from now on will start with a cup of tea, I’m happy and proud to join in, officially.
Delighted and honoured to be invited to
@PrincesTrust
gala for the
#PrincesTrustAwards
. A red carpet event, celebrity guests and inspiring young people, all very fitting for an organisation with such a great mission.✨
In 2011, I missed what I thought then to be my only chance to see you live, in Bucharest. I was 13 then, my mum said I'm too young to go to a gig. 7 years later, I crossed an ocean to attend this gig and make my dream come true. Thank you
@BonJovi
for an amazing night❤
#THINFS
After so many warm, congratulatory comments, I guess I needed a wake up call! Sorry to break it to you, Samuel, but the success of this country today is partly due to people like me who came here to work and make Britain better. So maybe you’re glad I chose to invade? 😉 🤔
I’m now officially going to be
@GabyRoslin
’s lucky producer
@BBCRadioLondon
! 🎉 It’s a bit overwhelming given not so long ago I would come into the building and answer the phones. Getting the
#journo
title would make the young Teodora very proud! ✨
This is so, so lovely. Utter joy to have Nina on the programme to talk to
@ayeshahazarika
about what it’s like to be the granddaughter of Eleanor Roosevelt and have tea with Queen Elizabeth II. 🫖 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 Her book, “Growing Up Roosevelt” is available now. 📚

Good to hear what a Rwandan politician makes of the scheme and the Supreme Court’s decision. Listen back to

I always like Sundays with
@GabyRoslin
because they never feel like work. Today I was feeling a bit poorly but it got sorted with love AND hugs from the fabulous
@MatthewModine
! 💫 📻
So grateful for
@Kwajotweneboa
coming on the programme and speaking so passionately about the urgent need to tackle damp, mould and leaks in social housing. I know that everyone’s attention is focused on the Post Office scandal, but this is a disaster waiting to happen.
Happy birthday, Pepper! Two years of utter joy - I never thought you’d change my life the way you did. Thank you for letting me look after you… even when I bring you breakfast late. I still have a few scratches, but I know it’s out of love! 💕🐱

Whilst all eyes are on the Israel-Hamas conflict, another humanitarian crisis looms not far away… So glad we could cover the crackdown on Afghan migrants who are forced to leave Pakistan on
@ayeshahazarika
’s programme with the excellent
@christinalamb
. 🇦🇫
“If this goes through, this would be the largest ever forced deportation of people in the world.”
@christinalamb
says there “hasn’t been enough” media coverage of the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan as “all attention” is on the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.

As a producer, you rarely get recognition on air. It’s all about the talent, they say. Glad today
@StigAbell

rectified this. A new career high — or low — can’t decide! 😂

I may or may not get in trouble for putting a little happy birthday song live on air 🤫but it was worth it! 👀
Happy birthday

I get to meet some pretty cool people in my job. Celebrities and all that jazz. Sometimes, I tend to take it for granted. But I never get more humbled than when I meet role models such as
@SamMcAlister1
. Little Teodora would’ve been proud. It’s why I got into journalism.
#Scoop
Extreme fan-girling from
@TimesRadio
Weekend Drive team over the fierce & utterly fabulous
@SamMcAlister1
. It’s so nice to see how she’s such an inspiration to producers & journalists - especially young women. And always very generous with her time.
So proud of
@ayeshahazarika
for conducting such an excellent interview with
@GermanAmbUK
&
@johnkampfner
. They covered migration, the rise of AfD, Anglo-German relations post Brexit and, of course, reaction to the Israel/Gaza conflict. A pleasure to produce this segment. 👏 📻
“The German government made clear that we call on Israel to respect international law.”
Despite Germany abstaining from the UN vote asking for a ceasefire, they want Israel to allow humanitarian aid to civilians, says German ambassador to the UK.

It’s never easy to set up a conversation around trans issues, but I’m very pleased with how
@HelenCBelcher
&
@hannahsbee
have provided such nuanced and insightful arguments. It really shows that we should simply listen more. Brilliantly moderated by
@ayeshahazarika
👏
“It’s when you’ve got a group of people who are intent on lobbing insults and view that as a debate. That is the problem.”
Death threats and vile language come from all sides when people discuss trans issues, say

This is incredible and hopefully it will set a precedent across mainstream media. 👏 Non-native English speakers shouldn’t be dismissed but rather embraced for their accents, identities & different ways of thinking. 🙌
When I first joined the BBC a few years ago I never expected I could be on air because of my foreign accent. Today, though, I presented the 1900 bulletin on the BBC News Channel, for UK viewers. I am glad accents are not barriers!
What a privilege to work with the best in the business. We’re a small but mighty team…And if you haven’t tried us yet, do give us a chance in 2024. We’re live on

✨In many ways, 2022 was about professional growth. Working long hours, choosing to push my boundaries and seeking to learn from the very best in the industry. Thankful for doing what I’ve always wanted to do. Humbled by everyone who believed in me.✨

18 months ago, I got a call from Dawn saying her boyfriend was trying to escape a life coaching group...that was actually a cult.
It started the weirdest & most fascinating investigation of my career.

There is a rise in people using TikTok as a search engine. They are also more media savvy, curious and politically active. This means we see more citizen journalism; possibility for traditional media to take advantage and engage.

With little sleep, internet or safety, journalists in Gaza are constantly risking their lives to cover this conflict. So pleased we had
@jodieginsberg
on the programme to shine a light on the important work reporters are doing during times of crisis. 👏
@pressfreedom
“It's almost impossible for journalists in Gaza to do their job safely.”
@jodieginsberg
says journalists reporting in Gaza have had “no guarantees” of their safety from either side of the conflict.
