Special thanks to @HarbourAirLtd who flew #EcoleNorthOysterElementary 's water sample to the Lower Mainland following the industrial fire near the school. Not only are we able to get our water tested immediately, the local airline transported it for free...Thank you!🤲👏👏

The wheels on the bus...are powered by electricity! Today, we unveiled two new EV buses to our fleet. Each bus will eliminate approx. 17 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year. Thanks to the many partners who made this possible.

Students have been busy this summer attending community schools summer programs. Here's a sneak peak at Nanaimo Foodshare Society Kids Get Cooking program last week. The outdoor kitchen was a big hit; everyone was having fun while learning some cool, healthy recipes.

As we prepare to commemorate National Indigenous Month, we are reminded of Canada’s dark history, that of the residential school system. Last week, the bodies of 215 children were found at the Kamloops Indian Residential School.
