Stopped in Hope yesterday to meet the Davesar family of the Hope Pizza Place. During the atmospheric river, they jumped in to feed people stranded in Hope by highway washouts—for free. One example of the many BCers who dropped everything to help strangers at that time. Thank you!

We're widening Hwy 1 from 216th to 264th in the Fraser Valley so people can spend less time in traffic and more time at home with their families. It was excellent to celebrate work starting today with the replacement of the Glover Road crossing. @TranBC

UPDATE: Highway 7 has now been opened for commercial vehicles travelling westbound out of Hope. Trucks and other commercial vehicles stranded in Hope are now able to get out to the Lower Mainland. Details: @TranBC

I’m very pleased to announce Hwy 4 will re-open ahead of schedule at 3pm today. The Cameron Lake Bluffs section will be single-lane alternating traffic until a full opening in mid-July.

Starting today, kids aged 12 and under can ride on any @BCTransit or @TransLink service free of charge. Free transit for kids will make life more affordable for families, and promote low-carbon public transportation by encouraging the next generation of transit riders.

Recently got to go for an ebike spin around Burnside and Rock Bay courtesy of @CapitalBikeCa and @oakbaybikes for #GoByBikeWeek . Takeaways were: ebikes are great, and they go best paired with Parachute ice cream.
