Probs a bit boring for you lot, but 3 years ago today exactly, a stranger on here commented on one of my posts. We’ve now been married for nearly 10 months. We make each other so happy. ❤️

One year ago today, I asked my husband for divorce after 24 years together (21 married). Here I am 12 months later- divorced, in my own little house with my children in a different place, about to start a new job. It’s been a hard road and a massive life change but I am HAPPY.

Dreading tomorrow - parents that show off about their kids getting a string of 8s and 9s on social media will not help. I just want my daughter to get to 6th form. She is not well currently and is on a long waiting list for NHS help. Be proud but consider how you express that.

@dinorwicport @Sara_Rose_G I have a girl called Clementine. I had to go to hospital with her as a newborn and the hospital cleaner said ‘oh, you’ve named your baby after an orange’.

Bit of an announcement- I am separating from my husband. It’s taken me a long time to get the confidence up to make this change, but I am really hopeful that once all the upheaval is settled, life will be happier for everyone.

@MrDavidScales This makes me feel really, really sad. I work with SEN kids in mainstream. Way to make them feel excluded and pressured. Also it’s so GREY and dictatorial. There’s no love, warmth or care.

To all of you who cheered me on- thank you. Happiness has been a very absent part of my life for so long, but I think I am getting there now. I might have less materially, but I don’t care. I’m finding myself and my optimism again. To anyone too scared to leave- make that leap.

Do you know what? It’s so very telling that so many colleagues and celebrities who worked with Steve Wright are either in such bits or are completely fulsome in their praise of him. Clearly a lovely man. The most important thing, in the end #ripstevewright

Driving: the preserve of the rich. My daughter is 17. I cannot afford driving lessons or to put her on my car insurance. She will not benefit from the freedom or independence I did of being able to drive herself around, which for a SEN kid is particularly important.

Goodbye 2022. Sold my lovely house, left the Sussex countryside, got divorced, changed jobs, downsized back to Tunbridge Wells, turned 50. I’m ending the year much happier than I started it, though - and next year I hope to be even happier. Happy New Year x

@jenny_gxo Women were def better at this when I was pregnant (admittedly 18 years ago) One lady yelled at the whole of the ground floor of the bus and ended up insisting a young bloke get up and give me a seat. She was amazing. Didn’t give a toss what they thought.

@philsharrock Or maybe parents could just pipe down about actual grades and let their children decide if they want to share them? I truly wish our y11s all the best. But we don’t, as parents, need to be so specific in reflecting their glory on us.

Told my dad that he’s wrong, the NHS is not struggling due to ‘too many people’ trying to access it, and that he needs to not vote Tory if he wants it to survive. End of conversation. I’m fed up with talking about this with people who have this attitude now. Short shrift.
