Great question for dentistry too: Should psychology be a subject requirement to study dentistry? Arguably more useful than chemistry? Would this impact on the type of graduates that we see in dentistry? More critical thinking, empathy, reflection, understanding of behaviour...

“On empty, redundant, pointless systematic reviews” This👇should be required reading in all oral health and #dentistry graduate courses - for PhD students, clinical trainees *and* academics. We need more critically reflective commentaries & less of the (ever-increasing)…

Genuine question: Are there any Cochrane Oral Health reviews that don’t end “More high quality clinical trials are needed” Not all OH questions require an RCT .. Bearing in mind that any trial is likely to cost £1 million++ Do we need different ways of thinking & understanding?

Dental school lectures that centre on patient experiences would be fantastic too. Unfortunately, I’m not aware it happens too often in #dentalschools Patients as educators would be great to see in a person-centred dental undergraduate curriculum #patientcentreddentistry

Good to see a dentally-related study in a mainstream (& good) health psych journal Does habit strength predict toothbrushing behaviour at inter- & intra-individual levels? Slowly, oral health is making its way into mainstream health psych - & not before time🐢 @divhealthpsych

Question for you #dental twitter❓ Why don’t we put oral hygiene vending machines - with toothbrush and toothpaste kits - in all schools Perhaps part of a health promoting school strategy … Good idea or not? Has this been done? Are there any evaluation studies? Cluster RCT?
