Shah Alam Hospital urgently needs their own proper psychiatric clinic. Went there today and ended up having an assessment in the middle of their make shift clinic (its their official dept) and cried openly in front of the staff and other patients

Actually when I was a HO I liked sending bloods/OT forms etc and tracing cultures (in htar we did it manually - turun pergi lab bukak buku besar kejadah nak trace) so I can escape the ward for a bit and pergi canteen nak beli food or drinks.

Not trying to say “during” my time but as a HO you’re supposed to learn the nitty gritty part of the job; take blood, clerk cases, hantar darah etc as an MO pon sometimes I still do that not try to depend on HOs so much

Kena puji with the nurses cos i apparently was “very cool” under pressure during emercency reintubation procedure. Told them I was anaesth trained in KKM - used to these kind of situation to which they said but not all doctors are cool like you! Why, thank you 😂

I am angry bcos you are teaching your very new house officers that rounds are important rather than attending to your patients who’s in an emergency situation. They will observe this is how it’s done & do the same. And expect anaesth team to attend because we “jaga the airway”

Coloured my hair at a proper saloon, first time doing highlights as well. It turned out amazing, but the amount I spent is also amazing. No wonder KL girls are pretty - they can afford expensive hair color jobs!!!

Cases like dengue shock, severe head injury, sepsis, immunocompromised patients that needs critical care, this could be your friends/family members who might need ICU beds but there won’t be any. Think about that!

Once I received a referral for diff intubation, when i arrived in the ward to gown up, a super tall HO came and help me tie my gown from the back. Im not kidding you when i say i was touched by that gesture. Ive been so deprived of physical romantic touch ive become pathetic 🌚🥲

@oodlyoodle I only learned how to take blood and insert IV lines in my first posting during my HOship. I think there’s no rush to learn your clinical skills, more important to work on your bed side manners.

@sainod @syawal Our oncall is extremely tiring, and some of them are required to work as usual until 5pm the next day. 20years ago my predecessors could not even claim for any oncall allowances, and our pay now has not been revised ever since it was introduced since the 90’s. We deserve more.

I think MOE should really screen psychological background of teachers before hiring them. When I was in one of the “premier” school in Kedah a teacher punished me by pinching almost near my private parts, in front of the whole class. Her purpose? To embarrass me of course.
