Nancefield Primary school is abandoned, construction started in 2020 and learners are in overcrowded mobile classrooms at another school sports ground. This is one amongst many projects under DID where constructors left the sites. So many projects on hold!

I feel proud to be a DA member. Members are allowed to contest elections. They don’t get appointed by the leader. We can agree to disagree, robust debate is not personal. Some members of other political party were told to resign and they are crying as there is no democracy.

We are dealing with class issue. Privilege vs under-privilege. The have and haven’t. Best schools will prepare some work for learners during holidays while weak ones, it’s really holidays. No contact between learners and teachers either due to lack of facilities or no interest.

Some schools abandoned in Gauteng. No consequences, but service providers get paid and abandon projects. Then appoint another service providers e.g Mayibuye Primary School had R88 M budget, spent R98 M then abandoned the project, now to complete the school will cost R125 M.

Covid-19 has proven that payments can be processed within 15 days. Department of Health is also capable to pay service providers within a short space of time. Why when there is vested interest instead of services rendered or delivered? Professionals are failing small businesses!

Our family had a tragedy, lost 6 family members on Sunday. Thanks for the support, several memorial services were held with leadership from different institutions including Gauteng Provincial government led by MEC Mamabolo and church leaders led by Bishop Malaza-Monametsi.
