BGE crews are working hard across our service territory repairing damage from Friday’s storm. As of this afternoon, we have restored service to nearly 91,000 customers, and we anticipate that 90 percent of customers impacted by Friday’s storm will be restored by 11pm tonight.

After severe weather impacted our service area Monday evening, causing extensive damage to our system as shown here in Westminster, BGE Crews and mutual assistance personnel are actively working to restore power. We anticipate 80% of customers to be restored by 8/8 at 11 p.m.
BGE crews have been working overnight restoring power caused by the storm. As of 9:00 p.m. last night, we have restored service to over 105,000 customers, and fewer than 5,500 customers remaining. We expect to restore service for the vast majority of customers by 11 p.m. today.
As of this afternoon, we have restored over 89,000 customers and our crews continue to work as safely and quickly as possible to restore power. We anticipate about 90% of customers will be restored by tomorrow evening, 7/14.
Our line workers, leadership and support personnel, plan to head down to Puerto Rico in mid-February to help restore electric service. They're prepared for a 30-day deployment. 🇵🇷

Here are our BGE crews removing a broken pole for replacement. Our crews are working around our service territory to replace damaged equipment to get the majority of our customers restored this evening with our remaining customers being restored within the next few days.

After strong weather impacted our service area on December 23, BGE crews and over 1,000 mutual assistance personnel restored service to more than 112,000 customers that lost power due to Winter Storm Elliott.
Crews are working in around-the-clock shifts to restore service as safely and quickly as possible, however, outage durations could be affected by hazardous conditions, including downed trees and large limbs that must be removed from power lines before repairs can be completed.

After the July 12 severe summer storm, BGE has restored electric service to more than 183,000 customers who lost power due to the thunderstorms, extreme wind and hail that impacted central Maryland.
Earlier today, BGE crews and mutual assistance personnel began staging and preparing to respond to outages well ahead of the weather that impacted our service area.
