(1/2) Our crews have been working safely and as quickly as possible to restore service to those impacted by yesterday and today’s severe weather events. Due to the extent of the damage, estimated restoration times are not yet available.
Crews have restored service to approximately 53,700 of the 70,000 customers who were impacted by last night’s destructive storm where 84 mph winds caused major tree and infrastructure damage.
An issue at Pepco’s Florida Avenue substation has impacted service to approximately 39,000 customers in the District of Columbia. We are working to restore service to customers as quickly and safely as possible and are investigating the cause of this incident.
