Yet NHS thought these procedures on girls as a good idea at anytime horrifying. Current gynaecologist appointment waiting time in Grampian 96 weeks minimum ๐Ÿ™ƒ

@DrFrancesRyan Itโ€™s demonising people with disabilities like myself who have both physical and mental challenges. Iโ€™ve even reminded people I have a job and still looking for more work because I can barely afford to live. Iโ€™m not lazy and their judgement is actually depressing.

@draevans Saw it earlier, horrified. Being autistic is not fun or optional by any stretch. I spend a lot of the time wishing I was normal. Anyone who has interacted with me can tell Iโ€™m autistic even though Iโ€™m high functioning ๐Ÿซ .

#NotASchoolSkiver I am a survivor of trauma, abuse and neglect with me leaving to go to university the only thing that saved me. I worked 4am to 11pm during my A levels and when I had the same thing my sister had that put her in hospital I was forced to work on the farm. 1/

#NotASchoolSkiver I am a survivor of child abuse & domestic violence. I was hospitalised due to neglect. I was moved across the country 6 times. I had to attend family court. This was only a small fraction. YET no one asked WHY I was missing school.

If you are neurodivergent you have to read this book by @elliemidds . Itโ€™s only now that l realise Iโ€™m not weird and donโ€™t fit in but that my brain doesnโ€™t work the same as everyone else. I am finally able to be myself as I donโ€™t feel the need to mask anymore ๐Ÿฅน.

#NotASchoolSkiver I was seen as not important so my education didnโ€™t matter compared to my siblings so I was forced to cook and clean and manage the house. They didnโ€™t see that I was so unwell now need multiple surgeries. They couldnโ€™t see my CPTSD. 2/

I found this year, no guarantor meant I had to find ยฃ4900 for rent because they would give me the flat to pay in instalments despite knowing my situation. Despite being able to cover the rent with proof of income. This should not be a barrier to us trying to live our lives.

#NotASchoolSkiver 3/ Even when I was in school some teachers refused to help me learn. I was bullied constantly for my home life and because of my neglect. I was not allowed to shower more than once a week. If I did anything wrong Iโ€™d be locked out of the house or no food.

A lady I knew yesterday came up to me in union square and she thanked me for being authentic and giving campaigning a go. I didnโ€™t say much as the my CPTSD was triggered but I still chatted with her. I felt proud of myself because it no longer defines me๐Ÿฅน.
