A story about David Gold. I was driving on the M25 and came up behind this very car, a £250k Roller. I was in my humble 60k Merc. I slowly overtook it and waved to the driver, Mr Gold, who waved back. I'd been his guest at West Ham but he didn't have a clue who I was .. Nice guy

Why did @Everton chase Marco Silva and beg him to sign for us. What had he ever done? He'd failed and been sacked. It's down to Mr Moshiri who wants to play Billy-Big-Boots as a football club owner. May I say Mr Moshiri that Everton are far too special to become your train-set ..

What are you apologising for Matt? Birmingham City are the biggest under-performing club in the history of English football. They hold the name of the 2nd city but consistently overshadowed by Aston Villa .. famous only for selling Trevor Francis for a few quid .. hapless ..

I’ve upset a fair few Birmingham City fans today. I accept they haven’t been in third tier for a long time so apols on that but stand by the fact I don’t think they are a big club. Ground, attendances and achievements all too small. But I honestly hope they don’t get relegated
