A prospective tenant used our affordable housing map to get housing. Landlord gave a hard time saying "you need a section 8 voucher." I called the landlord and said that's not true and tenants just need to meet income requirements. Tenant's application is now being reviewed.

Our campaign did an analysis earlier this year on LAPD police stops. Black people made up 26% of police stops although being 9% of the city population. We also created a map of where stops occurred and by race. Check it out here, site is mobile friendly.

The horrific murders of Daniel Elena Lopez and Valentina Orellana Peralta by the LAPD were entirely preventable. LAPD recklessly opened fire with no warning and no attempt at de-escalation. All LAPD lawsuits that taxpayers will pay should be paid out of the LAPD's $3.1B budget!

The City of LA contracted with a vendor for $2 MILLION to create a database of affordable housing units located in the City of LA - INCLUDING those in mixed-income buildings. Still no idea the status of that website. We filed a CPRA and did it for FREE.

Since some of you asked about lawsuits: LA taxpayers spent $214M on LAPD lawsuits over the last 5 years (FY16-20) relating to civil rights violations, excessive use of force, & police killings. These get paid out of the city's General Fund (which could fund other city services).
