We welcomed Sabrina Marie to our family last night! Mother and baby both doing great! Thank you all for the wonderful messages today. Lots of love vibes right now in our world. I'll make sure she watches the HOF ceremonies this weekend.
Well, for those who said the Ticket's ratings would plummet because we were talking about BLM and wearing masks, and we weren't sticking to sports: the June Nielsen ratings are in, and the Ticket crushed it. We lapped the competition in every daypart. Thanks to our loyal P1's!
I went to my first Rangers game in 1976, saw Toby Harrah hit a grand slam. 47 years later, they finally win the World Series! 10 year old me would be in tears, 57 year old me is in a state of shock.
Fine if we are all forced to go without power for short intervals to help the greater good, but when many are forced to do so for 10-20 hours in 10 degree weather while others are never asked to go without power even for a minute, that's incredibly wrong, and dangerous
@ERCOT_ISO
Dear Jerry, call Matt Rhule today, before the Panthers hire him. He's been a position coach for: QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, ST--he can coach everything. He has NFL greatness written all over him. And let him hire his staff. Love, Craig.
The Ticket has been named one of the five finalists for the Marconi Award for Major Market Station of the Year! It's our first time to be nominated in this category, which is for all stations, regardless of format. Thanks P1's for making us America's Favorite Radio Station!
Question for
@oncor
What is your rolling blackout method? Why are some homes without power for 4 hours, some off and on for 45 min, some not at all? Signed, the Metroplex
My best to Norm as he battles cancer. Hard to express just how much everyone at the Ticket cares for Norm, and how we are all with him in this fight. And, I'd like to apologize to him for prank calling his radio show when I was in high school. Love you, Norm!
The Little Ticket turns 26 years old today! Happy Birthday to our loyal P1's, whether you've been with us for 26 years or 26 days. We love you.

I am in shock! I guess the 7th time is the charm! Thanks to everyone we work with, and thanks to our beautiful P1 family for keeping us in a job for 28 years.
No power, freezing house, next storm approaching.
@ERCOT_ISO
saying they may stop the blackouts "by the end of the week" is both maddening and depressing. Our entire grid and energy system in this state should be completely overhauled in the wake of this disaster.
I've always considered Dirk's 35/15/"and-one" game vs SA in Game 7 of the '06 West Semis the greatest individual Mavs playoff performance. We have a new number one now: 43/17/13/deep game-winner/sore ankle--ridiculous!
I stopped this vehicle today for a left lane violation on I-65. The driver had approximately 20 cars slowed behind her because she would not move back to the right lane.
Again...if there are vehicles behind you, you must move to the right lane to allow them to pass.
This Mavs team is so much fun to watch it's ridiculous. Meanwhile, the Jazz fans are booing their team off the court at the half. All of this without Luka. Amazing.
Ticket shows will still be broadcasting our normal schedule even with Dallas County shelter-in-place order. Musers will keep you company starting tomorrow morning at 5:30.
My Pac 12 source says Oregon is leaving, and possibly/probably to the Big 12. Nothing confirmed yet, but stay tuned. Would be massive for the Big 12, as Oregon is the biggest brand remaining in the Pac 12, and would be a crippling blow to that conference.
Matthew Stafford listened to the Ticket when he was in high school. It's doubtful that he wins this Super Bowl without that foundation. Congrats, Matt, from all of us at America's Favorite Radio Station™
If only an AM radio host had alerted the architect that they were building the field to run east/west, which has been the incorrect way to orient a football field forever.
Happy retirement to Mike Fernandez. 30 years producing the Ticket morning show, 45 years in sports broadcasting. What a career. A pro's pro. We will miss you!

Many questions re the radio ratings. The facts: Feb book came out this week. In our target M 25-54 demo, all Ticket M-F shows, including our new afternoon lineup, beat every show on the other two sports stations. Musers

Happy 27th Birthday to America's Favorite Radio Station™ and to all of our beautiful, dirty P1's! Thanks
@theoldgreywolf
and congrats to all of our hosts, producers, ticker folks, promotions, engineers, sales, and management. It's been a helluva ride.
Most enjoyable Mavs team since '11. They still have roster work to do, but this season was a big step forward. Game 7 in PHX was unforgettable. Fun ride.
The Jazz are changing their colors to black, white, and yellow next season. Not sure about the fate of the City Edition uniforms they are wearing tonight. This is what has leaked so far re next season's new look.
His show was the best on television--I've been saying that for years. He connected with the viewer, and he connected us to the world--to places most of us will never go. And he did it in a thought-provoking way. It wasn't a travel show or a food show, it was a show about life.
Our Deathstar looks much more like the Deathstar than their Deathstar. Let's fight the good fight and not let Vegas co-opt the name!

Today is the 25th birthday of the little Ticket! Thanks to our loyal P1's, the best radio listeners ever, for keeping America's Favorite Radio Station on top for a quarter century. Great Ticket tribute in today's DMN:
Happy 28th birthday to the little Ticket! From the station that the brightest radio minds in DFW said would never work, to four Marconi Awards for best sports station in America, thanks, P1s, for a great ride!
Kudos to the TNT and Rangers studio shows tonight. Kenny Smith, Chris Webber, Mark McLemore, and Steve Buechele all had great things to say. I love it when these guys don't "stick to sports." If their messages made you uncomfortable...good.
I have never been a huge fan of the Mavs jerseys, but these new design ideas by
@SkylerinDallas
are incredibly awesome. They would be the best Mavs jerseys ever, and one of the best looks in the NBA. Do it, Mavs!
This is the lamest demolition ever, with the tiniest wrecking ball in existence. They were supposed to be done by noon, but they're on pace for October.
The fans have chanted "MVP" for both Brunson and Luka tonight. If the crowd is correct, they will become the first to share the MVP award in league history
#funfact
Update: it looks like
@ERCOT_ISO
has a bad plan, which is why these "rolling" blackouts aren't evenly rolling. Some homes haven't had power taken away at all, others have had it "rolled" away for very long periods of time. Meanwhile, the Dallas skyline was lit up last night...
We've heard many of you didn't know: The left lane on a divided highway is a PASSING lane. After you pass someone, move into the right lane so you don't hold up traffic. Impeding the flow of traffic by continuing to drive in the left lane is punishable by a fine of up to $200.
That was the most fun I've had watching a Mavs game in a long time. If this is it, that was a great final treat for the home fans...especially the dunk!

Got an email this morning from P1 Chris. His FB group, Everybody Love Everybody, decided to help
@HopeSupplyCoNTX
this month. In one week, they collected and delivered 19,000+ diapers and 7,000+ wipes! Another example of the beautiful P1 family pitching in--thanks, Chris!
Carlisle: 13 seasons in Dallas, 11 times failed to advance in the playoffs. This series was not his best work, and the Clips spotted them two games and a 19 pt lead in Game Three. Mavs should consider a coaching change for their young superstar. But this roster needs work, too.
I've been unusually optimistic about the Cowboys this season, but I can't continue. I like the defense a lot, but this offense is one of the worst offenses I've ever seen. They can't win with it.
