Exhausting, but so excited I got to experience my first 12 hour shift of weather coverage. Here's just a little of what went on yesterday. Mother Nature even surprised me with a tornado on the north side of Phoenix! This is the kind of stuff that gets me excited for my career 😁

Today is a perfect example for why default weather apps are unreliable. DC has a risk for severe weather not seen in 10 years, and the iPhone app says drizzle at 6 p.m. and no mentions for severe weather. The @7NewsDC app will tell you a lot more and send you alerts.
