Our story is one of warriors and poets, of shepherds and doctors, of scholars and saints, men of God who recognised His Majesty and Beauty and Grace, In the words of the Prophet ﷺ: ان الله جميل God is Beautiful. And so they surrendered to His Beauty.

Corporate life is crazy. I got two friends. Friend A recently joined a new work place. After his probation they told him his output isn't good enough, so they're extending probation for another 3 months. He immediately started interviewing for other jobs. He got a job offer.

I do not recall a single instance in the Prophetic Seerah where the Prophet attacked a person who came to grieve to him over their sin. Even the lady Sahabiyyah of Madinah who committed Zina, he would continuously send away & make excuses for.

One of the not-oft-mentioned Sunnahs of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was to always accept gifts. The wisdom in this is subtle: Somebody who gifts things, does it out of love. The Sunnah is to accept so that we don't hurt the feelings of the person giving us the gift.

Last year, my daughter was born. I still remember the first time I saw her. Going into the room. Holding her. Having her weighed. Her exhausted mother in tears. All those months culminated in this: a young baby girl breathing her first breath. What a gift fatherhood has been.

"I'm not gonna start praying till I'm sure I can pray all 5x everyday, I wanna take it seriously" "I don't wanna wear hijab rn cause I know I wouldn't do it right" "I'm just waiting till I go Hajj, then I'll start practicing more" ^ All these are tricks from the Shaytan.
