Huge hail in Shawnee, KS. A friend of mine David Caton just sent me this picture. I asked him to cut the hailstone in half. Some are near baseball size. Look at the layers in the one cut in half. It went up and down violently inside that thunderstorm several times!

35 years ago was the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. On the same day, the morning meteorologist at KWTV In Oklahoma City said a bad word, the worst one, on air and was fired. I was interning, got called in, and started my career on 1-29-85! Here was my first weather team!

Good news: I just awoke from Anesthesia and my colonoscopy was longer than expected because had Lezak plumbing. The Dr. says it went well and I don’t have cancer! I am a bit loopy, and I see snow is heading our way. I feel we got the forecast accurately predicted!
