From 2018: Fauci talks about the "elegance" of Kawaoka's airborne H5N1 GOFROC experiment and how its "benefits" outweighed its risks. The man's GOFROC fixation is inexplicable. Surely he'd know better? In any case, he gaslights/lies with ease.

🤣Cheerleaders and patrons of risky virology explaining why past lab leaks were, in fact, not lab leaks at all is either entertaining or unnerving - these are the geniuses propping up "scientific" grifts that can negatively affect the entire planet?

1/ Apparently, the origins of the pandemic (or any related matter) that has taken >20M lives is like religion or politics - one does not discuss it in polite society, even when the conversation *is* about risky bioresearch/ biosafety! Why?

An interesting detail: the management plan for the infamous DEFUSE proposal named Ben Hu from the WIV side. In 2019 he received a Chinese grant to investigate two new SARS-like CoVs in humanized mice. Still implausible to think Ben might’ve thought to insert an FCS?

In this clip from Oct 2020, Peter Daszak clearly doesn't understand what a furin cleavage site is. He should buy a hat, mug, T-shirt, doormat, poster, or ornament from @BiosafetyNow ’s “Inconsistent with Evolution” collection to help him better understand.

I️ deeply believe in civility but we must also speak honestly. Peter Daszak has been dishonest, disingenuous, and dangerous. Not a single penny of US government funding should go to @EcoHealthNYC while he is involved and until every sub-grant and grantee is 100% accounted for.

@BallouxFrancois @MJnanostretch That, in a nutshell, is why virology cannot be treated as just another scientific discipline. Every academic discipline has people doing mediocre/pointless research - but virology is unique in that even third-rate work could end up devastating the whole planet.

1/ So the DoD is in the same boat as the NIAID - they have been funding risky work in foreign countries but don't know the details of the work or expenditure. And they admit to outsourcing ("Fee-for-service") risky work😲 This is a recipe for disaster if there ever was one.

@MarionKoopmans For starters, please stop talking about "the" science - it sounds silly at best. More often it sounds like Soviet-style propaganda. For instance, the fantasy dished out by Worobey-Pekar is not "the" science. It's just flawed speculation based on very sparse and biased data.
