"Could H.R.T. be for H.R-ME? If I want to be what I am inside - then why is my inside INside my OUTside...? a quest for this newly transgender philosophender (phender) (phender)"
IF XAVIER ON TV IN LIBRAL TIMES:
Frittata! That blue shark plushie has got me considering some FEELINGS I hadn't otherwize considerized... Is it my life's agenda to trans my genda? Would I be happier as a prancing, frolicking, beautiful boobyhaving bäbette? Hmm The plot thickens
guy who's watched 100 horror movies: Texas Chainsaw Massacre is an absolute masterpiece. the height of slasher films and realistic, textured horror.
guy who's watched 1000 horror movies: dude you gotta hop on Basket Case 3
@NeilNevins
I didn’t know how to put it at the time, but in hindsight it’s *such* Despicable Me shit. Like in the first one they were 60s heroes, now there’s just like a rock guy!?? Wtf
“Mr. Krabs is autistic and his special interest is money”
(Sirens blare, crowd jeering and booing)
“Mung Daal was autistic and his special interest was ladies”
( A bell dings, the crowd cheers and hollers for more)
of all of the fucking things to learn, I have just discovered that the creator of Annoying Orange is trans/an ally, what an amazing gift it is to be alive
autumn always brings out the library/book nostalgia in me - I ADORED Scieszka's work when I was a kid, I don't think he's as remembered now as like Pilkey/Kinney but his stuff was really fun
@RaceplayShawty
not a tweet but I think about "man you know my black ass be eating candy" every so often. I've never seen this movie but I know exactly how its written from that
this kind of artist/fan abuse power dynamic is so painfully common, it burns me up just to fucking think about. my heart goes out to all sa victims, I admire your strength, power, and inspiring ability to persevere.
What I love about this movie is that, unlike most famous “so-bad-its-good” movies, it’s a drama. And shot like a “regular” movie, just one from an alternate universe. We will never find one this funny again.
If you could give one cartoon/animated show the nightmare-inhuman-live action adaptation treatment, what would it be? I would do so fucking much for one of these with Evangelion
It's crazy how the most disposable movie from the 1980's has cinematography that goes harder than most things being produced today. You'll stumble on a piece of shit starring The Two Coreys and the night scenes will look like a fucking Michael Mann movie.
great news!!! after some finagling of my finances, I finally was able to buy the rights to the Oogieloves. That's right, I own the Oogieloves. I can do whatever I want with them now. They're mine.
one of them mentions venturing to the land of Radiator Springs, where the cars roam freely. another - the drama program at East High School, in which Troy Bolton must choose between basketball and musical theater
FOUND MEDIA! Gibby was a planned spinoff of the Nickelodeon show iCarly. A pilot episode was shot, but the series was never picked up. Over the years, some images leaked, and the entire pilot was eventually uploaded online.
not good. more boring and weird than anything else. however I think it’s the only Disney film to both reference NIN and Limp Bizkit so it’s got that going for it
What are some examples of truly evil movies? Not necessarily in terms of depicting it, or thematizing it (or ideology/politics) but that truly feel like they’re channeling something awful into the world?(This was prompted by preparing a lecture on SPOORLOS).
I was actually thinking about this the other day, but I do think you could win audiences back into liking musicals by getting people who are actually good at music to make them rather than defaulting to Lin-Manuel Miranda
Deadline reports that studios are not marketing musicals as musicals because “test-audience focus groups generally hate musicals and the only way to get people into the theater with one is to trick [them].”
