It's the footnote for me 😂😂😂 "Did you know even if you qualify for the maximum possible loan... It might not cover all your living costs" No way?? Still a shock how much finance drops because of NHS bursary, it's sad my summer work is to make sure I have a roof over my head

This is one of the most offensive things I’ve read in a while, I can’t believe @bmj_latest published it. Windrush isn’t something you can throw into an argument slapdash for points, it resulted in deportations, families ripped apart and generational trauma. Christ.

why don't SHOs rotate before F1s? I get it in terms of team flow BUT how can we escalate for help from people who don't have their IT access sorted before us or don't know the patients before us? Just doesn't seem effective at all from a very tired F1 😭😭LONG DAY

Working as a bank phlebotomist has improved my confidence but some of the patients 😬... Today patient asked where I'm from➡️ stoke, he said parents? ➡️ UK, grandparents➡️ 🇯🇲 He follows I had someone else take my blood from 🇯🇲 but her hair wasn't as nappy as yours????????

Made it through a long but exciting week of back to back twilight shifts most days finishing 1am! Finally seen some births 👶🏾 ✔️ Vaginal delivery ✔️ Emergency C-section +tubal ligation ✔️ Kiwi delivery Obgyn is quite fun though some aspects I've found very tough and emotional

Did my first ever venepuncture on a patient today with a butterfly needle and it went really smoothly! (compared to those fiddly plastic arms 😂) felt more confident having done my first cannula a few weeks ago too :) Really enjoyed acute medicine can't wait 4 wks of A&E next!

In Year 3 at Cardiff we don't get a scheduled Easter break so having the bank holiday is better than nothing tell me why some people decide to think scheduling emails/messages for 7.30am on Easter Monday is okay? Students deserve a break too just think it's a bit distasteful 😭

My last gen surg day shift today 🥺time has gone so quickly can't believe nearly finished 1st rotation of f1! Just a set of nights to finish! Going to miss my ward nurses so much 😭have had some really good feedback on my 1st PSG ❤️

It's been great having medstudents with us on paeds day case. Really encouraging hearing they've told friends how much they've enjoyed it and we've had extra students coming to see if they can get a bit of experience in their free time I really do love teaching 🥺

For the first time wearing my natural hair at work I've received so many compliments of how it suits me no one trying to touch my hair uninvited and respectful questions around how i change my hair frequently with braids was very refreshing 💪🏽

Yano what I find scary is how people act very differently to you when they know you're a medical student? Today was just assumed to be the sister of woman in need of help because she was black,once I was able to assist with the history for the ambulance, people were "impressed"

Just realised had an abstract accepted for @interrobang2021 conference as a co-author with our clinical lead and F2 Cardiff Alumni Dr Mim based off our successful clinical revision series for @acma_cardiff ! Great way to end 2020 in the midst of these testing times!
