Time to reveal Yoru's main mechanic and skills! He is a werewolf who can shift between human and wolf forms. The animations still need more polish and the FX are unfinished so I will make a proper moveset breakdown vid once they're done.

You can now switch characters mid-battle with the Tag system! There's still some jank that needs polishing but this opens up all sorts of gameplay possibilities with character teams. Oh, and there's new Goblin enemies too.

It took longer than expected but the first boss is now finished! The Gravedigger is responsible for the undead outbreak in the area so Eve is sent in to eliminate him. He is slow but hits hard, and has a few tricks up his sleeve. Beware his kick!

Presenting a new enemy, the Ghost! It vanishes and teleports in an attempt to ambush you. If its health drops below a certain point, it will turn into a living bomb. Also got more special FX done too such as blood, slashes, etc.

Made new skills for Eve! The Venom Shot poisons enemies on impact and its recoil can be used to gain more height. The Rose Burst generates an AOE that strikes multiple times which makes it good for crowd control.

I have a fully-developed parkour system in my game that I have dummied out. The original game concept was going to be more open-world with an emphasis on verticality. I am debating whether to bring this design back or focus more on smaller combat arenas.

Refined the teleport ability. It requires line of sight with an enemy to use, has limited range, and has a short cooldown before it can be used again. It will also require some sort of resource but I need to update the UI first.

Added new Skills to Eve's moveset! She can unleash a rapid flurry of slashes, launch enemies with an AOE spell, and the teleport has a time slow effect to make it easier to read. I also redid the UI a bit. Eve's Ultimate is next.

Been working on Alice's moveset! She can summon her robotic butler, Theo, to pummel foes and warp him to her side as needed. Alice herself is a spellcaster so she will need to use Theo to keep enemies at bay. Her spells are next!

Here's a little bonus clip that I couldn't fit into the moveset video due to video length limits. Eve's Venom Shot has invincibility frames (iFrames) on startup, meaning you can use it to avoid most attacks. You'd better time it right, though!

I was trying to figure out how to deal with a physics bug that occurs when Eve lands directly on enemies from above when using a plunging attack. After some experimentation, I ended up with a goblin trampoline.

! Eve's first design (left) was a lot edgier than the current one (right). The previous concept for the game was to be a horror take on fairy tales with Eve as a werewolf version of Red Riding Hood. I dropped the fairy tale theme but some ideas remain.

I was creating some special FX for sword slashes and encountered a texture bug that rendered the trails as a random flower image from my library. I kind of like how it turned out though so I may play with this a bit more.

After working on Yoru and Alice, I've realized that Eve's gameplay is rather simple and basic in comparison. I am going to overhaul her gameplay a bit to make it spicier.

! The very, very first version of my game was going to be a horror game. The build is now lost but I do still have some footage of it. I took the project in another direction when some testers pointed out that the combat wasn't suited for horror.
Apologies for my long silence. I am wrapping up some last minute things on the third character. He has roughly double the number of animations and FX of the other characters hence the long production time. I will try to get his moveset done and displayed before the month is up.
Another vid of Eve's new attack animations, this time without enemies so they can be seen more clearly. She has a 5-hit ground melee combo as well as a dashing strike that homes in on the nearest or current locked target.

Eve's weapons are finally done and she is now ready for animation! She wields both gun and sword in tandem, able to switch between melee and range attacks seamlessly with no transition which is a key aspect of my game's combat.

Nothing like having Data Roxas burst out of your combo with that flippy attack or the double keyblade toss because you counted your hits wrong.

The best example I've seen to date is Silent Hill 2, where you have an entire town you can explore but only parts of it are accessible at a time and the focus is still on the interior areas.
