79yr old PACAFIST! HATE ALL WAR.Figurative& text Artist :EVERY BREATH I TAKE IS A POLITICAL GESTURE.I BELONG ON THE BORDER.Automatically blocks uninvited DM-ers
I sold my last car, my final car for €500& bought a beautiful granny friendly, high nelly, red& yellow Dutch bike for €650, 5 yrs ago. I love it. .Got two titanium knees in the meantime & venturing out today six mts after last replacement, a wee bit afraid😰Wish me luck🤣🚴🤣🚴
As an OAP I did not light a candle last night because"we are not all in this together"My generation are sitting in nursing homes terrified. Gov delayed reaction,will leave many of us dead, unlike other island NewZeland who ordered Protective clothing in Jan & curtailed travel.
When I stood for election 20 yrs or more ago,Sinn Féin& Fine Gael took down my Labour posters.Sinn Féin even ordered me out of an estate.But I voted Sinn Féin in the last election & am strongly thinking of joining them,if they will have me.The relentless bashing of Sinn Féin(1)
I have decided to give my No1 to Sinn Féin for the first time in my life because of great women like CatherineKelly& Louise OReilly & No2 to Social Democrats. Roisín Shorthall & Ms OReilly was the only ones speaking (on ClareByrne)a language I understood&identified with entirely
@MrKennethClarke
What is astonishing is that one unelected person,like Cummins, could wield so much power in the British Government.He should be held for treason for the destruction he leaves behind& Parliment has to have a serious look at the role of advisers.
Can I thank everyone on Twitter who send me kind messages when I told you it looks as if my 23 yr old dog Albee has heart failure and wont live much longer.He is very comfortable,so I am hoping he will just go in his sleep.
It utterly sickens me to listen to Michéal Martin&Gov lies today. In 1945 Dr James Deeney was appointed chief medical officer for Ireland.He queried the infant mortality rate of babies in a Cork home.He sacked the matron. My point,this was known to be wrong over 70 yrs ago.
(2) By the Irish Times RTE & other rag newspapers,horrify me for by their lack of respect for democracy&SF voters.The undignified &untrue tweets of An Tánaiste disgust me.The utter contempt & rudeness of An Taoiseach to Marylou Mc Donald in An Dáil is personal& unparliamentary
As a 75 year old I am sick sore & tired of the stereotyping we old people have to indure.This assumption that we all think and vote the same conservative way is ridiculous.Can I plead that my leftwing politics & my passion for justice in society has never dimmed&wont til I die?
(7)I was wrong.All this hatred of Sinn Féin has nothing got to do with the past but is motivated by a terror of Ireland becoming a Social Democratic country.We have never had a greater Conservative Gov in FF/FG,which does not care about homeless on the streets or unpaid nurses
@eoghanymurphy
@williamhboney1
A special advisor to Minister for Health should be an expert on Health not a PR person.That was the whole purpose of introducing them in the first place,to broaden the Ministers knowledge of his brief.Spin has taken over so much,its hard to know what they believe or care about
I am astonished at the response I got from my support of Sinn Féin this morning.If I am not overdoing it,I think that Sinn Féin should stop responding to the heartless and inaccurate comments and concentrate on building that party for the people so cherished of James Connolly.
(3)The utter denial of Dail Eireann of any wrongdoing by the British& their representatives in the 6 Counties over the past 100 yrs deeply saddens me. My GAA father only escaped"execution" by masked gunmen in 1970s when stopped on a country road as he had taught one of them
In Lourdes Hosp Medical Assessment Unit in Drogheda as I had a wee turn, as they say.The staff are really lovely as I go through various tests. Here since8.00AM,I asked for a cup of tea(brought a sambo)& was served that gourmet meal that only hospitals can produce:Tea+ hot toast
I had the most magical Christmas spend with my son& grandsons,aged 8&6.Having got to bed,exhausted at 1.00AM on Christmas Eve preparing for Santie coming with my son,1.30AM&dozing off, I feel a tug at my nightie,&an urgent little voice say,"I think it's time to get up Granny"(1)
(4)It was on the road between Keady&Clontibret when my father was President of theUlster Council. Many men were killed simply because they were members ofGAA by British forces in the North.There was an opportunity when commemorating Bloddy Sunday in Croke Park to acknowledge this

In 1960s most gay people had to go abroad to" "lose" themselves in the crowded world of London&so on. In recent years a close friend (78)was home. I looked & he was in tears. Two men in front of us were holding hands." We couldn't even do that" he said My heart was breaking.
It's only4.30pm but I've gone to bed as I was up half the night with my poor dying dog.He is asleep& I am going to watch a film noir on UTube. Love these films fr 1930s*40s.They only last little over an hr.Dont like leaving dog for longer.He is 23& will sleep permantly soon😪😭
Every Christmas I buy a bottle of Baileys to put it in my morning coffee,for the days just before & after Christmas.Its delicious. It gives a nice wee floatie feeling.I bought a bottle the other day& its driving me mad.I wont open it til 21st,but wish I hadnt bought it so soon🥴
(8)It does not care if our children go hungry to school. It does not care that the average person can no longer afford a house.They allow vulture funds to control our rental sector,where people are asked for vast rent to live in a press.That they use the North& its struggles
(9)For democracy as a whipping boy,to defeat Sinn Féin,reflects the utter ruthlessness of capitalism.The death of a GAA footballer by British forces in 1970 is no different from killing them in 1920.I would advise Sinn Féin not to react to Varadkers/McDowells etc, provacation but
(5)But this was not done.The 1930s in Ireland was a very bloddy time,if anyone cares to read the history after the armed struggle of the war of independence& the civil war.With the Good Friday Agreement Sinn Féin gave up its military struggle for Irish independence for the North
@SimonHarrisTD
I find this kind of infantile PR drivel really insulting.The government took advice fr business interests & acted4 wks too late,causing many deaths&ironically harming business more, than ifGov have put welfare of people1st. We are willingly locked up but Gov should hang its head
I go to the shop only once a week now.That is today
& I am really excited about it because IT IS lonely, being so much alone.Heartening though,what we can adapt to & I accept how lucky I am to have a warm roof over my head& enough to eat& my brain still working reasonably well💞
(6)Sinn Féin have esposed a social democratic path which is very exciting and popular with the people. As in1930s,it will take time to convince all its members to give up military struggle& military approach to admin.I have been very impatient with this& called for resignations
@SocialistVoice
Often when I spent the morn doing physical work&am fit for no more,I love to watch Countdown with my pen & paper,but with the vitriol coming fr Rachel Riley,about Jeremy Corbyn, which is so untrue,she has ruined it for me.I cant look at her
@Countdown
needs to replace her,please
It is like a knife in my chest every time I hear Leo Varadker referring to the "Republic of Ireland" as "Ireland" as though the 6Counties were not part of Ireland. Does anyone else find it hurtful?
@eucopresident
@horseymatilda
@theresa_may
Having been born & reared along the Irish border&at73 yrs old have for the first time enjoyed a life with no soldiers,no customs men,no paramilitaries, a freedom of movement like the rest of Ireland. We want to keep it.Remind Mrs May, Northern Ireland voted to remain in the EU.
I have two friend coming for lunch& a big walk on the beach in our wellies.Cant wait as I have hardly spoken to a soul face to face for a week,apart fr my one day a week shopping in Dundalk yesterday where I got some curly kale.I am giving them ham& colcannon & appletart🥰🥰🥰

Died due to mass starvation by their British masters.There was plenty of food in Ireland,only the potato cropped failed and 4 million people died of slow painful starvation. It was the only food available to the native Irish poor.This was genocide.Time we dropped the euphemisms
Was a great success.Marinating fowl& meat in buttermilk to tenderise it is centuries old & works well where there is little or no fat...We were all in bed by 7.30pm,having had a day of love.I slept for 9 hrs.Covid has made me,at least,appreciate these special moments more now.
So the Greens idea of a carbon tax is to target inexpensive food and clothing.The poor who avail of these, have the least carbon footprint of any group in society.What
@EamonRyan
should do is a survey on which group in society has the heaviest carbon footprint& tax their goods
I walked yesterday in the drizzling rain. Today I will walk in the pouring rain.Its brilliant, as few are out& you can stride with abandon. It is wonderfully refreshing to have the rain on your face.I love water.I think I might have been a fish or a seagull in a former life.
I am fond of making soda farls.1/2lb flour makes 4.I would normally eat one &if I'm greedy 2.I have just eaten 3 &I cant move.I had the 1st hot off the pan with scrambled eggs,fr my neighbours hens. My downfall came when I opened a jar of damson jam.
Have just realised I tweeted the whole way to Dublin the bus.Iam off for a lovely time with my darling children &their children to celebrate my 75th birthday tomorrow.Afternoon party for us tomorrow hosted by a dear friend.Starting today with a visit to Kathleen Lynn exhibit
To the person who lifted my wallet off the counter in the Nat Library Cafe on Friday,you can keep the £30 and I managed to block my bank card,but my bus pass is there &much more.Can I have it back.Its of no value to you.
Only 9.30pm but I am very tired& just remembered I changed my sheets today.Bliss!! Bliss!!Bliss!!(what little it takes to please me nowadays & by the way, I am 77 tomorrow🤗). Filmaker
@rioghnachNiG
shares my birthday but about half a century later Happy birthday Rioghnach!!
@gavreilly
I find his lack of respect actually frightening.He is not in touch with any reality.He should not be giving these interviews.He is not the Taoiseach and he had no regard or no awareness of the protocols& all he is doing is causing greater confusion in the minds of the people
Marr discussing Loyalist riots,cites Storey funeral&POSSIBLY Brexit🙄 Principle cause is a British state, for half a century, abandoned the poor of ghettos like Shankill Rd to a life of poverty& enemployement,leaving then with nothing but a flag& an abstract sense of identity
I had an amazing experience little while ago.I came into the kitchen and for the first morning had to put on the light. Simultaneously,I got a vivid flash back of my father lighting the tilly lamp on dark winters mornings.That had to be 70 yrs ago
I am going to say something unpopular. In recent years the Arts Council did an investigation into the income of visual artists.Most of them live below the breadline.I want to ask Charities to STOP asking artist for free work. It is extremely unfair& many are too polite to refuse
Had wonderful few hrs in Dublin yesterday,met daughter💞 for 1st time since Christmas 2019,M&S food hall,picnic in back of Stephen's Green(Leeson st corner),used spotlessly clean portable public lavatory at top of Grafton St,then Kennedys Harcourt St for paper& home.Magical🥳
