Fred Gray is a civil rights lawyer who worked with Dr. King, fought the segregation policy in the Montgomery bus system (defending Claudette Colvin & Rosa Parks), and filed the lawsuit to protect the Selma to Montgomery marchers. Gray is still practicing law and turns 91 today.

We remember James Chaney on what would have been his 77th birthday. Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner were murdered by the KKK in 1964 for registering African Americans to vote. We have to honor them with action and continue fighting for equal access to the ballot.
