The only way I can see the @scotgov investing properly in culture & events is for artists, writers, performers & directors to pile pressure on politicians publicly. Arts funding is a criminally low priority for the government & local authorities, & has been reduced to a lottery.

Got to admit I'm completely baffled by this. The Scottish Government's own arts quango has just told Holyrood's culture committee that £74m of the UK's Government's £97m in emergency arts funding for Scotland, announced on July 5, is not allocated yet.
