Garett Bolles, on holding Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett without a sack: “Just doing my job, man. That’s all it is. I mean, if I play my game, this team can go as far as we need it to go.”

accusers: I keep hearing that the women shouldn’t be believed because they went after money first, not criminal. Wanting money and being a victim are not mutually exclusive. Both can be true. What *does* cast doubt on their stories: no GJ indictment.
#Browns
#DeshaunWatson
faced *two* grand jury investigations, 20+ lawsuits, an investigation by a former federal judge, and an adversarial preceding against some of the best lawyers in the world. If your take is that Watson is somehow “getting away” with something you’re lost.
#Browns
Calvin Ridley bet on his own team to win in a handful of parlays, with no insider info while away from said team: Suspended the entire 2022 season.
Deshaun Watson has had 22 sexual assault civil lawsuits levied against him: Suspended for six games.
🤡
The worst call Mahomes has ever seen is a correctly called offsides. Can you imagine if this guy watched even just 2 Browns games worth of officiating??? What a spoiled brat.
#DawgPound
@QuincyAvery
@BrownsLand_
Hey man why are you responding to his response? That’s just how he feels! Just like Adams. I thought you dont take issue with responses?
“I mean, come on, how bad could the 2023 Browns injuries really have been??”
“Our kicker and punter both got hurt in the same game and it was considered pretty normal…”
One crucial aspect of the Deshaun Watson cases that we keep seeing—now from two different DA offices, and the NFL—is there is a hesitancy to use even half of the alleged victims. Most likely, there is a reason for this (potentially, half of these women aren’t credible).
#Browns
Deshaun Watson hearing has ended. Some information, from a source with knowledge of the proceedings: (1) the NFL interviewed 12 alleged victims, and the hearing focused on five of the woman making allegations against Watson. . . .
@SkotiVi
@mrbergmann
@unusual_whales
Basically: you get to live a life with pretty much no restraints and live in the most popular city in the country while paying for all it has to offer all while saving 60k per year??? That’s pretty extravagant…
Here is the video that
@JaycrawfordCLE
says Stefanski had a *negative* reaction after Watson said he couldn’t play. This is so nothing. He pats him on the shoulder and presumably leaves to tell DTR the news. This is all a media driven story.
#DawgPound
@CarlaGebhart
Next year it’ll be “he’s only been a year removed from major shoulder surgery.” Then in 5 years it’ll he “he just never recovered from that shoulder injury.” Maybe Baker Mayfield just sucks? Maybe?
Is he also confused why he doesn’t have national commercials anymore and why the team he’s on was only willing to pay him 5 mil a year? Because the reasons are the same.
#dawgpound
Another example of how shocking it is that people don’t understand: accusations do not equal guilt or severity. And this is coming from someone (me) who was very confident Watson would be suspended a full season. People need to reconsider their preconceived notions.
Obviously late on this, but for those wondering why Adnan Syed was released, it comes down to constant issue that plagues criminal justice system: prosecutors and police assume defendant is guilty, so to them no evidence they possess looks exculpatory.
@Girlsurgeon
There’s no NFL rule that says a defender has a right at all times to hit an offensive player. To answer your question: there’s pretty much nothing a defender can legally do in this situation other than wait and see if the player makes the spectacular catch. And that’s okay.
@matthewluciow92
“When was the last time they beat Pittsburgh in Cleveland?”
Uhhh, that would be…the very last time they played in Cleveland, last year….
It’s moments like this where you wish the Browns had a franchise QB who they paid a boat load of money to that could take the game over instead of dueling with Kenny Pickett.
#dawgpound
#DeshaunWatson
deposition excerpt below. Now it’s clear he won’t be using as defense that he engaged in consensual sex w/ therapists. This surprises me, and big mistake IMO—will likely lose credibility w/ jury. Last answers in video demonstrate how.

@Kyle_CLE_OSU
I…don’t understand what any of this means. He’s a QB. They all have the weight of a SB on their shoulders, and Browns gave Baker a great supporting case. Was 0 room for error precisely *b/c* he isn’t good.
I’m sorry, but if anyone watching this 49ers game thinks the Browns have a real chance outside of the obvious “any given Sunday upset” you’re delusional.
#DawgPound
It’s troubling to me that I have not seen a single person who finds the
#DeshaunWatson
suspension to be low consider that maybe, just maybe, the allegations are not what they thought they were….
@AdamSchefter
For perspective, Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins received a 6-game suspension for a PED violation.
Deshaun Watson was facing over 24 sexual misconduct lawsuits.
Its amazing that many people responding to this video assume the “defendant” is the black male and the “victim” is the white female. This tweet should be used as an implicit bias test in schools.

@notcapnamerica
Oh jesus christ. I never said it wasn’t real or couldn’t be verified with research. This person posted photos/story without providing sources and people just believe it. You think they all looked it up? My fault for trying to make nuanced point on Twitter.
@JaQuavion__
@NFLonCBS
No. They’re telling you not once in his entire career has his defense allowed a TD drive in two min drill AND then Tom not either 1) score before regulation ends or 2) win in overtime.

Yes. It’s the 8 dollar coffees that are stopping people from buying homes. Not the fact that wages haven’t been rising with home costs. It’s the coffee. For sure.
@StevenCheah
“Destroyed.” If you showed this game to someone who didn’t know about the incident that person wouldn’t even think to ask what was wrong with the field. It’s NFL in late November. This field looks like it’s actually in v good condition compared to others.
@ChrisAlbertoLaw
@JohnCornyn
@GOP
I dont agree with Sen. Cornyn about anything, but reading this saying "he wants segregation" is completely missing his point, either b/c you're ignorant or acting in bad faith. His point: having a case as precedent (Plessy) is not a good reason to not overrule it (Brown v. Board)
Where are all those
#Browns
fans who kept insisting I was wrong when I said that Watson would almost certainly settle? Don’t make me bring out the receipts…
This recording has been public for years.
Regardless of where you fall on the
#JusticeForJohnnyDepp
or
#JUSTICEFORAMBERHEARD
spectrum, it’s amazing to think about what would have happened if Depp, and not Heard, was caught on tape saying this.
LISTEN: The audio recordings of
#JohnnyDepp
and
#AmberHeard
were played for the jury on Wednesday, where Heard says "I was hitting you, it was not punching you," and called Depp a baby.
@LawCrimeNetwork
People keep saying “I know this is hindsight but…” it’s not even hindsight. We were all screaming at the time that we needed a viable backup. Even if Watson got healthy you need a viable backup. Malpractice not to get one.
It's totally playing the result, but the Browns not getting Jacoby Brissett or Josh Dobbs at the trade deadline is going to wind up being a result that matters.
How many wins do the
#Browns
need to make the playoffs:
8 - 1.5%
9 - 3.0%
10 - 84.3%
11 - 99.6%
(h/t the legend that is
@tejfbanalytics
)
You get 10 wins & miss out on a he playoffs you’re just unlucky…
In a sliding doors moment: as the Browns D was shutting down another team in the 4th, the Saints D gave up 18 points in the 4th to lose the game 17-18. Guess who the Saints’ DC is…
#Dawgpound
Just don’t buy this. The NFLPA, the day before it’s client’s suspension comes out, says that they “stand by” the person issuing the suspension. Imagine how absurd they look if Robinson issues indefinite suspension. They must know something.
#Browns
FWIW, the arbitrator, Sue L. Robinson, hasn't informed either side of her decision on Watson. The decision by the NFLPA/Watson's camp to say they'll stand by her decision is based on the case now having been before two grand juries and a judge.
They feel like that's enough.
Another huge misunderstanding people keep making in the
#DeshaunWatson
case. Not being indicted by a grand jury is absolutely not the same thing has being found “not guilty.” Further, being found “not guilty” is not the same thing as “innocent.” These distinctions matter.
@aarojas51
@DevotedBrownie
And Lamar missed a bunch of games but still had better stats. Not to mention why are you pretending that Lamar Jackson isn’t who he is b/c of his running ability? What kind of trash post is this man come on.
@cfrelund
This is such a bad faith response. If it's not a big deal and anyone would say something similar then explain why there was a "timeout" mid pod just to talk about this specific interaction and statement. It's because you all know: it's juicy.
Re
#DeshaunWatson
presser: Watson’s very clear on his position: “I’ve never assaulted anyone.” Browns hedge a little bit more: “we’re comfortable with who he is as a person.”
#Browns
#lawtwitter
Check out how perfect this pocket looked when Baker Mayfield got skittish and tried to roll right and abandon it. Led to a TD on this play. Browns fans remember that it rarely will work out so well in reg. season.
#Browns
#KeepPounding
@monkey2Ybanana
@dark_zack1
That’s like saying “just make a billion bucks and then figure everything out.” Browns aren’t beating the bengals and dolphins and Bucs for the same reason Jacoby isn’t going to throw for 500 yards and 6TDs in a game. They just…can’t? Aren’t good enough to?
This is the most Baker Mayfield post of all time. Yes, if you only look at the best half of Baker Mayfield’s career he looks great! It’s just too bad that’s not how sports work.
#Browns
By my unofficial count, in his final 5 drives today, Baker Mayfield was 9/12 for 211 yards, a TD pass and a TD… and put up 24 points.
#Browns
#Panthers
#CLEvsCAR
The best thing about being a Browns fan is that when they win a flukey game with some luck you don’t give a shit because we’ve more than paid our dues.
#Dawgpound
bring on the flukey wins!
Baker Mayfield throws for sub 250 and 2 TDs and people want to crown him. It’s absolutely unbelievable. It’s as if none of the games before yesterday—even the one literally just 7 days ago—happened. That’s not how sports work people.
#Browns
People need to STOP making this mistake. Robinson issued the 6 game suspension based on the *4* women presented to her. She was not presented with 24 cases (there is likely a reason for that). 4 is certainly still a large number. But stop saying it’s 24.
#Browns
One of the most frustrating things about football is how the smallest things change a game. If Myles recovers this fumble (amazing that he wasn’t able to) this
#Browns
game could have been a bloodbath. Would have been 20-7 with the ball inside Panthers 30.
@ScottGreenfield
This is a great example of the problem. They think the point of being a public defender is to do social justice. It’s not. It’s to provide criminal defense to those who cannot pay. Sometimes this aligns with “social justice”. Often times it does not.
@AttorneyHulk
@princellasmith
@ABC
I interned at the innocence project in law school. I can assure you this is not what they do. They get so many requests for representation they don’t have any interest in taking cases where they don’t think the person is actually innocent.
I don’t want to hear anymore Stefanski slander. There is shit open all over the field and that draw TD was an awesome call. He’s a difference making coach.
#dawgpound
@Browns_Bot
He’s under appreciated. He’ll always have a special place in my heart for essentially sealing the playoff win against Pitt with his INT. I’ll never forget that moment. That’s when we knew it was done.
Holy shit people. The pitch was perfect. Are you all delusional? You want to *defend* “fire Stefanski” views because of THIS PITCH!? Kill me.
#DawgPound
@blakeweinerlaw
You're missing the point. After seeing a hurried and nervous Walker pitch the ball so fast it got by Ford, Gwen Stefanski calls it again on the 1 yard line, and the pitch was so fast it hit Njoku in the facemask.
@dearty66
@TonyGrossi
Process. If door A gives you 75% to lose and door B gives you 25% you choose A every time regardless of the results. You have to be process based and not results based because even the right decision will end up in bad result sometimes.
To the people saying it’s okay

assaulted
#ChrisRock
because Rock “said something offensive”: you do realize every single one of you just took a position/said something offensive to many past victims of assault. Can they now justifiably assault you?

Imagine robbing a store everyday, then one day paying for a tv and people are like “Ha! Tough day for ‘this guy’s a thief’ crowd!” It’s so silly. No, it’s not a tough day. It’s a nice break from the constant and objective cheapness.
@Gbush91
To be fair
@Gbush91
, psychologically there is going to be a difference in how people respond to an issue when: 1) you have actual people on camera talking about the things done; and 2) there are over 20 names saying “this person did this to me.” This didn’t exist w/ Kraft
@Pchopz_
They’re not even close. One is hand fighting while both guys playing ball. One is shoving. That’s difference between clean play and penalty unfortunately.
The most damning fact: different DA office. Whatever the flaws are with these cases, multiple DA offices clearly don’t want to bring them. If they wanted an indictment, they would have gotten it.
