1 year ago I set myself the goal of learning more Cantonese, and took some courses. Tonight, in Cantonese, I successfully ordered this tasty meal from a local takeaway. I’m still very much a beginner, but I’m trying to be kind to myself in recognising the progress I’ve made.

This story is insane. A rival triad member was accused of stealing from another gang in Hong Kong. He was offered a fight with 9 gang members to settle the alleged theft. One hour later, AFTER BEATING 8 PEOPLE, he was knocked out in his 9th fight, and later died in hospital.

Not really a surprise that HSBC was involved. They also handled funds linked to #corruption claims at FIFA and moved money linked to alleged corruption by the #Gupta brothers, who stand accused of wielding undue influence over Zuma and looting South African state-owned companies.

You may have heard that the SFO is prosecuting Unaoil in a bribery scandal. What you won't hear about in the UK is HSBC's involvement - HSBC worked with firm at center of global bribery scandal
