The city had an LAPD commander in the courtroom to try and get them to speak on everything but the court denied letting the cop speak. The city did not demonstrate admissible evidence for their writ application. They couldn't come up with any real evidence for this.

Per @lacontroller data, LAPD had to settle (i.e. lost) 14 CPRA lawsuits in 2022-2023 alone. Angelenos should not have to sue to understand the workings of an agency that kills 30+ people a year and gobbles up half of our discretionary budget.

a lawsuit against the city demanding they sue me. The second lawsuit seeks to punish me for the city changing its mind by demanding that I pay damages to hundreds of anonymous police officers. Not only is this an embarrassment for Los Angeles, it's completely unconstitutional.

BREAKING: Another @SantaAnaPD detective caught attempting to be involved with a minor. Greg Beaumarchais, SAPD officer since 2011, Detective of the Year 2019, has been charged with a misdemeanor "Child annoyance - 647.6(a)(2)". He is on administrative leave and has surrendered.

This headline falsely states that Knock LA is being sued for the LAPD photos. They are not. I was not even a reporter at Knock when I sued for and received the photos. I was a freelancer. They've also used my copyrighted image in their publication without asking for permission.
