I was in town early this morning. The police were just getting out of their cars as I passed a bag…it turned out to be a local homeless woman. She had died. In her 40’s. I’d spoken with her in the past. She was so unwell. Services didn’t help her. How can this be happening 😭😭

@hyperandfocused @HopeGraceFury I’m Autistic and know I definitely am (I work in the field) I also don’t experience the things on your list. The thing with the stereotypical traits is they are just that.., they can be subtle that even now being an Autistic Autism Healthcare Professional I’m still discovering

@_curious_one @scope @Telegraph I find the word ‘woke’ is often used by people un informed people in relation to Equality and Diversity. It’s often followed by an eye roll from me

@AnnMemmott Grief for not receiving a typical child? 🤔 I’d have been petrified if I’d been given an NT child if I’m honest. I have no frame of reference for a non autistic family member! How would that work out I wonder ?! 🤷🏽‍♀️

@ItsEmilyKaty I’m so sorry. My story was similar. I too went to work in mental health to do my very best to help resolve the situation

Fighting this one for us!! #ActuallyAutistic … and again it stems from the LA! ‘Autism Co-Ordinator’ for our local area stood in a lecture hall yesterday and told Y2 LD/SW course that Autism was categorically not a Disability. Full year now saying we don’t need support!! 😡

@naomicfisher It’s wild how many teachers get offended/angry/abusive towards Dr @naomicfisher posts. It seems some can’t see there may be another side to their narrative. I mean a Clinical Psychologist specialising in child Trauma couldn’t know more about school trauma?!! It’s disturbing!
