After my wedding was pretty much cancelled, I sat in front of my fireplace in my wedding dress and played Animal Crossing like some kind of deranged Miss Havisham
The older I get, the more I feel like I'm becoming more like Marge Simpson. I just don't have the energy to hate things anymore. Boy, wasn't that movie fun? Isn't Christmas nice? I just think potatoes are neat.
Did it ever occur to that poor mother in Beauty and the Beast that six eggs are too expensive because the town bully is eating five dozen eggs every morning?
Jeri Ryan, Star Trek actress, accused her ex-husband Jack Ryan, a Republican political candidate, of asking her to perform sexual acts with him in public leading him to withdraw his candidacy and his main opponent, Barack Obama, then won the 2004 US Senate election in Illinois.
The recent news story that Batman is not allowed to go down on Catwoman has led me to discover this delightful story of Adam West (The 1960s Batman) and Frank Gorshin getting kicked out of a Hollywood orgy because they wouldn’t break character
I like how they made Morph see his big trauma from when he was under Sinister's control, Gambit's fear was Rogue cheating, Sunspot's was his mother rejecting him for beign a mutant, and Beast's is that he saw Spirited Away the night before and the visuals really freaked him out.
I tried a therapist in 2020 for industry burnout. It didn’t work out for other reasons, but she was also like, “I don’t know what Carmen Sandiego is. I don’t know what My Little Pony is. Oh, I think I heard of Star Trek”, and I know this is petty but it drove me a little insane
Listen, Michelle Yeoh had to play a very difficult role as an Asian mother who apologizes and make it believable, so she absolutely deserved that award
Hey
@CityofVancouver
this is second incident I’ve seen caused by these useless ‘slow street’ barricades installed last month. They don’t slow down traffic; they cause crashes and traffic chaos.
The studios and streamers' plan is to reportedly 'break the WGA'

Animation studios in June: Black Lives Matter. u_u We care about diversity and equal opportunity. We'll offer training and mentorship programs and take a hard look at our leadership decisions.
Animation studios in August:
A reimagined 'Ren and Stimpy' will be returning to television after nearly 25 years off the air — without original creator John Kricfalusi, who was accused of sexual misconduct a few years back. He will also not profit financially off of the reboot
Disney’s live-action ‘THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME’ remake is rumoured to have been scrapped.
Disney CEO Bob Iger is not a fan of the original and doesn’t consider the remake a top priority.

Columbine happened when I was a freshman in high school and we had to go through the whole rigamole of "Is it the Matrix? Is it goths? Is it videogames?". I am glad to know that in ALMOST TWENTY YEARS, the conversation barely moved forward one jot.
I think you can like, dislike, or be indifferent to Velma, but I don’t understand directly replying to a crew’s group photo with, “Sorry you all had to work on that pile of crap”
You should have no prejudice toward any group of people except for magicians. Magicians cannot be trusted. They are always trying to trick you. Last time someone tried to do sleight of hand with me I broke his fingers one by one.
My friend got COVID in March and ended up with permanently damaged lungs despite being young. She was sent back to the hospital last week for something serious.
Even if herd immunity could be achieved, it won't work if a large percentage of the population end up chronically ill
In a city that was once the world’s coronavirus epicenter, doctors are calling back Covid survivors to study their health. About half say they haven’t fully recovered.
One thing I've always loved about Cinderella is how it plays with the scale of things in the backgrounds, like all the characters are totally dwarfed by their locations
I think that Troi being blunter and funnier in Picard rather than the serene, calm person that she was in TNG is probably due to Marina Sirtis influencing the character, but I choose to see it as Troi slowly turning into her mother as she gets older.

If you need quick dopamine, there are interview clips on Youtube where he is talking to the media but then one of his dogs interrupt to demand a belly rub

March: How to wash your hands!
April-May: How to make bread!
June: How to escape zip ties using a bobby pin and dismantle the police state!
Man, I miss stupid standalone episodes in television seasons.
I mean, sometimes you gotta take a break from your intergalactic war to play baseball with some jerk Vulcans.
(Ryan was already losing to Obama in the polls 52% to 30% a month before their divorce records were revealed, but by the time he withdrew and the Republicans put in a replacement, Obama won the seat 70% to 27%)
Between this and the screencaps of Elijah Wood politely DM-ing someone to ask if he could visit her Animal Crossing island to sell his turnips, I feel like he is a delightful person
1 of the things I love about the ATLA series finale is that of its 2 epic fight sequences, neither have a heroic, action-oriented score: the music for Zuko/Azula's fight is tragic, & the score when Aang enters the Avatar state has strings furiously sawing away like horror music
@arthur_affect
I'm just grateful we had a beautiful short that wasn't "Boy Umbrella pursues Girl Umbrella" or "Boy Chair chases Girl Chair" or whatever
GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY CARMEN DAY!!! Carmen Sandiego was found on Netflix this morning!!
Also, you can find me and my wonderful co-workers in the credits!!! :)
I can’t believe El*n M*sk bought Twitter under the pretence of “fixing the bot problem or die trying!”, and now we just have to deal with every other tweet being liked by Cecilia who’s just looking to make friends for a good time! :)
I got accepted into an animation program in my senior year of high school. I sat my mom down for a serious talk about why I thought this diploma program would lead to a viable financially successful career, and she seriously got up and wandered off in the middle of it
I don't have any strong feelings on the Ant-Man movies but I feel like they are wasting the premise of that particular superhero. I think people want to see more things like that toy train fight, rather than "quantum realm creatures" which are reskinned generic alien designs
"Can't you see they're sucking the life out of us?"
"Homer, maybe you'd have more fun at Moe's tonight."
"Ah, for some reason, Moe's always closed on Wednesdays."
"And then they realized they were no longer little girls. They were little women."

I asked him if he wanted me to draw anything as a thank you and he said him on top of the “McBarge” in False Creek, and “Mr. PG” is part of the skyline for some reason.
It doesn't look baaaadddd, but this should have been animated.
I was OBSESSED with Minkyu Lee´s art of Wicked and gave me so much hope for an animated version.
My friend moved to LA from New York and told me that when he felt homesick, sometimes he would eat his lunch in the fake New York section of the Warner Bros backlot.
*willing to burn down everything now that Twitter is always on the verge of dysfunction*
The Muppets (2011) felt like Jason Segel's self-insert fanfic of the Muppets in the same way as the Orville is Seth McFarlane's self-insert fanfic of Star Trek.
Man… it’s beautiful but I wish the concept didn’t feel so much like Pixar on autopilot (“____ in a modern city! Mythical creatures in a modern city! Monsters in a modern city!” Zootopia too, but that was Disney, you get the idea)
@LouisatheLast
When I was checking out wedding venues here, the Museum of Vancouver had buried in their special event package, “For an additional fee, we can provide a ventriloquist for your event” and it was so out of left field I almost took them up on it
(That said, everyone simply just has different learning curves and one person might improve slower than another person, regardless of the amount of work they put in. I am actually someone who tends to learn pretty slowly.)
