One of my greatest joys of working on The Goldbergs for the first 6 seasons was writing Adam and Pops stories. My grandpa was my confidant & hero. It was an honor to watch the same relationship develop between George and Sean. You could just feel the love when they were together.

My heart is broken. I lost a dear friend. Working with George was an honor and some of the happiest moments of my life. What a sweet & wonderful man. He was my confidant & teacher. When he smiled it changed my day. I wish everyone could have met him. Prayers are with the family.

After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!

I 100% share Patton’s opinion on this. In a half hour we air what I think is the best episode of the whole series. Those who agree will come from a loud nutty family like mine... but I do think everyone will appreciate what it means to go to dinner with your parents. #BigPortions

This week, the pandemic took a legend who taught at @PennCharter for decades. Joe Perrott was more than a teacher. He was your therapist. So happy Joe got to see Anthony Michael Hall play him perfectly on The Goldbergs, especially because Breakfast Club was his favorite movie.

I can't put into words how much of an inspiration Neil Simon was to geeky teenage me. I spent those years devouring his plays and obsessively writing my own. I even had the chance to act (very poorly) in Brighton Beach and it truly gave me the courage to write about my family...
