I want to announce that I’ll be starting coaching for $15 an hour! It can be WiFi games, vod review, etc.
I will start by giving away 3 free lessons to 3 random people who like and retweet this post and be following me. DM on discord at Woulphy or on Twitter to schedule
I have found a cool concept against rob labeled, Gyro Dribbling. It is pretty niche and revolves around chaining down toss into itself. Only downside is some tosses hit behind them point blank, while some hit in front. A lot of fast characters can use this to great success.
17/559 at my first major and I’m really happy with it. I thought I was overseeded and ended up out placing my seed. Definitely excited to go out to bigger events and more majors
Free agent btw hahaha
@GOMLsPlan
✅ never been to GOML
✅
#1
in Indiana
✅ I make the cringe suffer in bracket
Never been to a major and want the chance to represent the Indiana scene at a large scale.
Honestly it’s insane how far I have come in a full PR year. Essentially
#12
in Indiana my first season to
#1
feels amazing. This was a major goal I have always had, and I’m glad I have achieved it. Thank you to everyone who supported me and wanted to see me succeed.
7th out of roughly 173 with solo sonic. It finally feels like I am getting the reward of picking up sonic and dropping ZSS, really hopeful to see what I can do with more time on sonic
Had a good day in bracket today, 2/63 in Throwdown Thursday 142. Got some good clips as well. Shoutout to the
@DownBQueens
homies for being supportive in chat and to anyone else who supported.
3/153 at jumpstart yesterday, I am very proud of this result, it’s by far my best sonic result and one of my better results. Finally seeing the work of grinding sonic has payed off and knowing I have so much more room to improve is a great feeling
This feels very disrespectful towards me, even if it wasnt meant to be. To tell someone after they improved so much in a year that they stagnated is rude. Ive tried helping the scene by telling them how I improved. Ask anyone who I grind the game with and ask them about my effort
I need Indiana Ult to start working harder man how are we after a whole year of inactivity still letting Gromp and Percy clear after like two weeks of getting back in the groove
Im really proud with my improvement since Ive went to my first tournament. I dropped my main that I grinded since I took the game seriously and picked up ZSS a monthish before my first local. Im glad I got to where I am with ZSS. Shoutouts
@DownBQueens
for their support and help.
Finally made state PR. Kinda crazy to think about how I have played for a little over 2 years now and got to where I am. Thanks to everyone who supported me in twitch chat or helped me get where I am.
Saw nobody posted the graphic they made so ig I will. Won IUPUI today with back to back local wins in 2 days. Haven’t drop a set in the past 2 days. Played kinda meh today but still applying stuff I’ve been working on.
Back from MUI and my bracket performance was not great in pools. I was able to talk to AK and was able to turn it around and take him game 5 in main bracket. This bracket was def a flop, but I met and played a lot of cool people. Going to be preparing for Smash Works🫡
4/80 at Take Flight with solo sonic. I outplaced my seed by 1, I played very hot and cold. One set I would be playing great and the next wouldn’t be playing up to my standards. I’ll figure it out since it has now been 3 months since I’ve picked up sonic
Finally won my first yes after multiple 2nd's. The sonic has been coming along amazingly, and everything I have learned at LMBM and a little bit prior has been clicking perfectly. I am excited and ready for Jumpstart 🫡
Glad to have finally won an event, and especially using primarily sonic. It’s been almost 8 months since I’ve won something so it’s nice to see. Had to use ZSS for the zoner mu’s idk with sonic, but solo sonic should be a thing soon
We are back with weekly updates for tournament winners in Indiana! Here's all the tourney winners from Sep 10 - Sep 16
Congrats to
@Woulphy
for winning our latest tier 2 event, Super B-Town Beatdown 21!
Crazy to think about how I didn’t play this game before covid and how far I came. Really shows the grind I put in and also going into offline with like a 1-2 month ZSS. I’m glad how far I’ve come and I appreciate all my homies who helped me get to where I am
Here's the graphic for Indiana's 2021 Q4 PR, the first that we've had since covid began over a year ago!
Huge shoutout to
@Killmongur1
the GOAT for bringing us the Indy manga tweets and this graphic 🙏
Thanks to
@Jaxib317
and the rest of our panel for working to make this happen
@realChaseDeWitt
The things stopping steve from getting banned is people care too much about results and how many steves where in top x, the pro-steve ban is failing to make good counter arguments, and majors dont wanna ban him forwhatever reason. Anti steves need to make a good list of arguments
How good is Indiana smash scene right now compared to the rest of the US right now? Explain in the comments. Like and retweet so lots of people can see it, I’m curious of the results.
@AaronFGC
He is very linear because he only has access to falling aerials, all of which have 10+ frames of start up besides bair. He also struggles to deal with opponents shield since his grab is awful and he doesn’t have any form of real shield pressure, also he has no safe moves grounded
So proud of this man. Seeing him improve over the years has been so cool. This dude has one of the best work ethics when it comes to improving. People will need to watch out bc he is a PGR level threat
Got 9th at Shine my first major. Wins on Yonni, Craftis, theActuary, and Bran. Losing to Esam and Light. I am beyond happy with how I did. I can't thank everyone enough for supporting me at the event. Extra thanks to
@Fisher_Esports
for helping get me there!
Those same people will be telling you how I vod review every set win or lose, or any recorded match. I also play this game pretty much everyday and actively work on the things I’m doing wrong. So saying that “we need more effort” isn’t helpful and is very rude
@realChaseDeWitt
@serrisfroon
Big agree, our events only reach C tier with the help of AK and Onin. Then we struggle to win a bracket over them and nobody is worth points because of it. I really dislike how the algorithm works

@emperdew
Vod review while not playing so you know what to work on while you play is probably the biggest thing. I would recommend writing down what went wrong in the games and saving the games to look over to compare. If you cant play for long, know what to work on while you can play
@Mothra_well
@justinbyleth
it only has 7.9k views and it was 3 years ago, I could see how it didn't gain too much traction. I was just messing around in training and was wondering if I could chain them with sonic lmao
@DANY_LILSUNNY
They wanna feel good at this game and stay behind the screen. It’s always we have to come to them and not vice versa, besides 1 time. They talk a lot for not coming to our events and showing it and just hoping we will come to theirs
@CjFrozen
By falling into the Midwest smash void of hate and telling the good players of a scene that they aren’t improving. It happens so often in the midwest from scene to scene, I should be used to it at this point lmao

@TheDoorstop_
A valuable lesson I learned from my track coach was that good days are only good because of the average/bad days. If everytime you played in bracket you won, you would never have the feel of a good day. The bad and average days make the good days feel good when they happen
@realChaseDeWitt
It is a pointless counter argument to steve is taking over the meta. If people want steve banned then they need to show why steve is busted and 2 things will come from it.
1. We get counterplay to deal with things that make steve busted
2. No answers and then steve is banned
@Jesstopherson
Apple literally had to play one of snake’s worst mu’s into gromp who had very close games with AK. So telling Apple that games are going the same is also very rude. You think we are letting this happen? I can tell you for certain me and Apple prepared for Percy and gromp
🚨New Video Alert 🚨
I did a Smash Ultimate coaching session where I helped a ZSS player utilize one of their best moves. Hopefully even people who don't play ZSS can get some good tips out of this as well! 😎

Appreciate the feedback but even if you don’t want to make a major change I heavily recommend looking into changing full dsr. If no run backs happen in a game 5 scenario the person who won game 5 gets 5 stages banned and the person who lost has to go to a stage they would ban
@AndrewTzss
If you want it for ZSS Cloud what I’ve learned is constantly out moving cloud and his buttons is your best bet. Get him thinking where he needs to place his buttons then stuff it out, he will slowly start relying on shield more. Then you can grab or keep moving around his shield
@kirby509UIUC
If you aren’t getting hit it really doesn’t matter what percent people live til, but the best way is to review your vods and look at your hits at high percents and think of ways you could’ve killed in those situations
@Desmona78
It just comes from character uncomfortability, it’s like fighting a roll spamming samus on a character you have never played. Usually it’s something very simple of the character that you are glossing over
