Rules need to change in MLB. If a team ( Mets) drafts a player (Kumar Rocker) and the team decides they no longer want to sign the player because of health issues player (Rocker) should not have to wait for another MLB draft instead he should be able to sign with any team NOW !

College baseball does not have pick off limits to 1B , they also still bunt for hits and move runners at 2nd with no outs and bunt to move runners and squeeze bunt .They also run hard thru 1st base and they also allow pitchers to throw over 100 pitches. Thought I'd throw this out

Mitchell, all due respect the scouts of the 80's and 90's didn't miss players who had the talent to play pro ball. They just didn't. What you hear now is that if kids do not play travel ball or take lessons everyday or have a personal coach, they never will have a chance to play

PSA : If you are watching a baseball game and a ball is hit and you hear, hitters name just hit a 97 MPH fastball, he actually did not, he hit the velo at the plate when it got to him normally 4-7 slower. It's OK to know facts . Ball is measured from fingers now not when it gets

I never played a single inning of HS baseball, one year of Little league , I played Hoop and golf non-stop. Went to JC to play Hoop, ended up playing baseball and hit .054 in fall ball. I did OK in baseball after that. The sport will find the "Athlete" not the other way around.

College hitter has a bat in his hand around 250 days a year. Professional hitter has a bat in his hand around 300 days a year. Professional hitter making a change probably closer to 330 days a year. Yet we tell HS hitters who want to play at those levels to play other sports?

If you bunt a runner to 2nd with no outs in extra innings, do you know how much that changes what the defense has to adjust. OF has to shorten up , IF might play a bit deeper, C has to keep everything in front of him , P can't make any mistake. Broken bat 1B can win you the game

I am also a West Coast forever college baseball dude. Ben Orloff's @UCIbsb team should have been in. Andrew Checketts @UCSB_Baseball club should have been in also. Both are programs who have been to Omaha. West Coast has no chance to be represented fairly with current RPI metric

This is not a drill, this is a catch the ball with a net game which allows the barrel to drop below the ball ,the exact opposite of how you want a bunter to do with the barrel . Bunters get better using a bat

Give me 7 hitters in my line-up with Luis Arraez's approach, use whole yard make contact, hit line drives, 2 hitters with plus HR power who drive in a lot of runs and I will beat any current line-up with equal pitching @Marlins . Batting average does matter as do base runners !
