Hank Greenberg essentially missed 5 full MLB seasons to serve in WWII (aged 30-34 seasons). If not for the war, Hank probably approaches 550 home run and 1,900 RBI territory. Hank was the first MLB player to join the armed forces and served longer than any other MLB player.
