For many, their first exposure to furry characters was through comics. These are the comic strips highest nominated for 2022: "Carry On", "Duncan & Eddie", "Foxes in Love", "Part Time Dragons", and "The Whiteboard".
Due to increasing interest, Furry Music has been added to the categories for which you can nominate an Ursa Major Award. Please note that as with all categories, we require a minimum number of qualifying nominees. So, let us know what you want to see win!
Nominees for the first UMA Music category include "Can Opener's Notebook: Fish Whisperer", "Another Railway Day", "Visiting Narcissa", "idaidaida", and "Cute Cervid Vol. 1"
There were a lot of great dramatic short works in 2022, but these five were the most nominated: "Horns", "The Legend of Pipi", "Monkey Wrench - The Ghost Egg", "The Rhino and the Redbill", "Tales of Zale - Flickering Lights".
Brothers - For Kesik on FA, thank you very much!
Everytime i get to draw painted dogs i get to experience the horror i am putting other artists through when they need to draw my character. As it turns out the camouflage works and makes it very easy to get things messy.
Nominees for Best Visual Art are Market Haul by Squiddy, Our Furry City by ARVEN92, Pines by Glopossum, The Record STore by Squiddy, and Winterrock Oasis by Bubblewolf.

The furry fandom started with drawings. These were the highest nominated illustrations for 2022: Ais05 for "Dragon Party", Caraid for "Jedit Ojanen, Mercenary", Jacato for "Wind Watcher", and Wildering for "Space Boy".
Have you read these UMA2022 nominated short stories? Bears & Bravery, by Gre7g Luterman, Draught Horse, by Huskyteer, Null, by Elise Zoe Heider, The Otter's wings, by Mary E. Lowd, The Swift-Footed Darling of the Rocks (Do NOT Actually Call Me That), by Marie Croke.
Because the Music category has been irreparably compromised due to relentless infighting and refusal to allow impartial and unbiased management of the nominations and voting, the category has been removed from contention this year.
