3/ I discovered @AxieInfinity early this year and spent 40+ hours learning the cards / builds. I eventually battled my way up to 1800 MMR across a roster of 12 Axies, some of which I theorycrafted into non-meta teams (❤️triple aqua)

@JackSoslow @gwertz clarification - there are lots of challenges to figure out still but I want to reiterate that I believe AI tools won't "replace" artists but rather make existing teams more productive, as well as enabling new creators to enter games. there's no replacing human ingenuity

Fascinating that 40%+ of new @nytimes digital subscriptions are for games / non-news content. NYT games were played over 500M times in 2021 (h/t @axios ) Their Wordle acquisition makes sense when you think of them as a game company that uses the news as a UA channel 📰
