Gov. Joe Lombardo has withdrawn Nevada from the U.S. Climate Alliance, a coalition committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
He called the alliance's goals "ambitious and well-intentioned" but said they "conflict" with Nevada's policy objectives.
Nevada's Assembly speaker says the Oakland A's have not presented "concrete" language requesting $500 million in public money to help construct a stadium in Las Vegas, and if a proposed bill doesn't materialize soon the Legislature could "run out of time."

THE LATEST: Joe Biden has widened his lead to 11,438 in Nevada, after nearly 30,000 more votes were reported on Thursday.
Tens of thousands of ballots still need to be counted.
The Nevada State Education Association launched a campaign Thursday to stop public funding for the construction of a stadium for the Oakland A’s in Las Vegas, vowing to pursue “every possible path” including litigation or even a referendum effort.
Donald Kirk Hartle pleaded guilty to voting more than once during the 2020 election.
Judge Carli Kierny, who accepted Hartle’s plea, called his actions a “cheap political stunt” that backfired and showed “our voting system actually works.”

NEW: The Oakland A’s and Bally’s Corp. have an agreement in place for the team to build a $1.5 billion stadium on a portion of the Tropicana Las Vegas site, a move expected to reduce the amount of public financing sought for the project to $395 million.
Clark County officials are worried taxpayers could end up on the hook to cover debt payments for the county’s part of the $395 million in public money the Oakland A’s are seeking to build a $1.5 billion stadium in Las Vegas.
