The weirdest fucking shit coming out of VALORANT right now is the idea that casters shouldn't comment on a player's personal abilities. There's no light without the dark. Casters praising you for being good only has merit if they're able to point out when you're playing bad.

Something to keep in mind: Many OWL teams have tried to win with the same core for YEARS now and have failed. There comes a point where you have to blow up the roster and start anew. That's what is happening now. Top free agents will have no issue finding teams before 2021.

Something to note on Hero Pools - Historically, no meta in Overwatch stays diverse forever. Not doing hero pools now would probably have meant not doing them all season long. Then the odds of the meta being ultra stagnant come playoff time would have been incredibly high.

I think the most base takeaway I have from playing OW2's alpha is that it's a gameplay upgrade to not have to deal with things like double shield anymore. OW is at it's most fun when it's an FPS game first. 5v5 in OW2 brings the game back to more early OW vibes - a good thing.

Something to consider on tanks being dropped from 2 to 1. It's hard to convince people to play tank in any game - not just OW. Tanking despite being very necessary just is not popular. Period. This change reflects player preference more than anything else.

@JWantedL What made OW great in it's first two years was partially due to the fact that people were bad at the game, and bad at abusing the parts of the game that were most broken. Once that knowledge was out, it absolutely necessitated changes.
