The legacy of GOATS / 3-3 will be felt for a long time after the current meta passes. The overall skill level of comp OW has been forever increased because of forcing players to value positioning and cooldowns more than ever before. This levels up players even after a meta shift
Basically, even when raw FPS talent comes more into play in a future 2/2/2 meta, players aren't suddenly going to forget all the lessons they've had to learn in 3/3 about using abilities and combos in an intelligent manner. The difference will be a much crisper brand of OW.
@TempoZP
I too see 3/3 as an improvement to the health and skill cap of owl. (For now) 1 tricks falter and those teams who can consistently win, stand out from the pack in meaningful ways.
@TempoZP
Europe is probably the biggest winner out of all this, eu players got to make their team play and coordination better than ever, and it appeared they were great to it

@Thooorin
Are we trying to make up for how brain dead everyone got with the mercy rework, where people just made mistakes and rez erased their mistakes?
@TempoZP
I don't agree at all, brig armor pack, zarya bubble, lucio boop/ult, zen ult, defense matrix all save people from mistakes and you could only really be punished for mistakes if your team made so many mistakes they ran out of things to save one another with.
@TempoZP
It’s a different kind of skill not as applicable to every meta. In many damage comps you need to be skilled enough without your team having to commit resources to you to be effective. I think people assume that since this meta requires more teamwork that other metas require none
