My 14 yr daughter just made this beautiful illustration for our study on CD36 in CD8 T cells.
If you need any artwork for your papers or slides, let me know. She would love to do more!
Fascinating discovery by
@Annaglobig
! Exhausted CD8 T cells talk to sympathetic nerves in tissues & tumors. Tex cells express ADRB1 and localize near sympathetic nerves, listening to stress hormone noradrenaline. This promotes their dysfunction.
I am still in shock and so honored and humbled by the news today! This NAS award is first and foremost for the Kaechians and all their incredible ideas, hard work, and discoveries. Thank you to all my mentors and role models for your support! We all get a gold start today!!
We are thrilled to announce the election of 120 members and 24 international members to the National Academy of Sciences in recognition of their distinguished and continued achievements in original research.
Congratulations to our new

mentor!
I hope all scientific meetings & conferences will always be held in states that give women equality and reproductive freedom. So all future conference organizers, pls keep this in mind and attendees should demand the same!
Has anyone recently looked at the percentage of female corresponding authors in our favorite immunology journals? It’s pretty pathetic, I’ll tell you. Why? What is suppressing high impact papers from female labs? Would love to hear your thoughts...

Congratulations to Dr. Ali Kuhlmann!! She gave an exciting defense on her discoveries of metabolic reprogramming of alveolar macrophages in lung cancer and how they are metabolically co-opted by cancer cells. She baptized her PhD in the Salk pool of knowledge!
This is a great opportunity to jump right into your independent research career as a Salk Fellow. Sure it's uncommon to skip a postdoc and go right into starting your lab, but many of you are probably more prepared than you realize! Apply now! Salk is an amazing place.

Hi all, what is happening to foreign scientists in Florida is horrible. Pls Join and donate to AAPI orgs in Florida to help us sustain recruiting amazing scientists from Asia to America. As we have seen with RvW, this mentality can easily spread across the country.
