😢 I Hope you had a lovely time on the planet Willie and any regrets were overshadowed by the fun and games you had and the smiles you put on other people’s faces xxx
Happy Birthday to the legendary
@SteveSnooker
! 🎉
Let's throw it back to when the six-time world champion made the first ever televised 147 (Lada Classic, 1982) and one of the most straightforward colour clearances of all-time 👀
How did you hold it together, Steve?
If there was a Snooker Museum then maybe this table would be in it? A little bit of history is now looking for a new home.
So many happy memories of our dad's room and best for me and my brother to have those in our head than any type of shrine
Open plea to the Sports Personality panel: please include the most amazing sporting personality currently living in the UK
@ronnieo147
or are you afraid he'd leave all your athletes in his wake?
Thanks for all the messages guys. It’s been an amazing season and the cherry on the cake for me making the 147 tonight as it’s been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid. Shame not to win tonight but all credit to Jack who played the match of his life. See you all next season😁
It's the end of an era for
@AlanMac1990
.
He's called time on a 31-year career following his 6-3 defeat to Bai Langning at
@Betfred
World Championship qualifying.
Thanks for the memories Alan!
Interview to follow...

Just rescued this from the Matchroom Office cellar. A piece of Snooker memorabilia but perhaps far more of historical importance to the comic world and the history of the amazing artist
@bryan_talbot
I have been after this for years! A frame of snooker from 1987 between Steve Davis and George Best. George plays well and knock a few in here. Full frame is on the link thanks to Billy Whicher for the excellent youtube channel.

An amazing achievement! If ever there was a yardstick for excellence within the game, longevity would be right up there and
@jimmywhite147
is truly the last of the snooker Mohicans 👏
Delighted to keep my tour card on my own merit. Thank you, everyone, for the support. After all these years I still am in love with snooker and looking forward to seeing the
@eurosport
team for the World Championships!
Thank you to everyone here who wished me Happy Birthday x really lovely! Just to say I had a wonderful party and rightly, I’m still recovering from it! 🤕😂
Congratulation on a fantastic career
@pdebdon
!! an absolute credit to the game and one of the most amazing players the game has ever produced. A true one off and the fiercest of competitors x
Great fun doing this with
@SHendry775
His YouTube channel is a quality production and a no brainer for the snooker fan looking to get an insight into the game and the players who play it, past and present. Ring the bell and subscribe. 👏
New ‘Cue & A’ video now live on the channel with my hero in the game
@SteveSnooker
Filmed at the Masters at Alexandra Palace this week, we talk Alex Higgins and Steve wanting to be my coach 🤣
It’s so good and really ‘Interesting’ 😂

I know Tim! It’s hard to understand how the commentators and players didn’t appreciate someone randomly firing of a whoopie cushion at a major sporting event! And as for discussing the psychology of top level sport during the actual event.. total madness! I’ll have a word #🙄
@BBCSport
I am so disappointed that the pundits & players didn't see the funny side to this. The crowd did & they pay the money.
#snooker
takes itself way too seriously nowadays. And what's with all the psychoanalysis between every frame?

@stevesnooker
@SHendry775
No he wasn’t and the reason Ali beat Ronnie was because he played better than him. Trust me Johnny I’m a far better judge than you on this! Because I’m a fan of both players and not just one of them.
@lonearrangeruk
@SteveSnooker
Carter was winding Ronnie up, getting in his face all match, trying to intimidate him. The only way he could beat him the cheat
Amazing! If Ron doesn’t get the kick on the red then he wins it but then never seen him take so long deciding on a positional shot on the blue before playing a bad one. Anthony brilliant clearance!
"We're ordering a lot of supplies. We're ordering a lot of, uh, elements that frankly we wouldn't be ordering unless it was something like this. But we're ordering a lot of different elements of medical." -- Trump on the coronavirus
Many thanks to team
@Snookerlegends
for giving me the chance to say farewell to the Irish snooker fans in style! And so lovely to be presented the trophy by Lauren x
Congrats 2
@markwil147
the most amazing competitor in Snooker. Mark you’re no doubt aware I’m not averse to your break off. It’s actually positive as it keep the black free. But just thought of funny rule change. Failing to hit a red off the break loses the frame 🤔 no pressure!
When Swiss Toni hires washed up film director Derek Asquith to make an advert for him, things don’t quite go according to plan, but the end result is genius, nonetheless. Featuring

@SteveSnooker
You are making a fool of yourself in ridiculing a genius like Ronnie. You've never had an original idea of your own as Hearn has instructed you for your entire sporting life.
The 2019 UK Championship gets underway on the BBC this weekend. All the action live on iPlayer and the BBC Sport website. Plus a chance to vote on who is the most miserable studio guest out of me and
@SHendry775
This guy! 😍 the shot on the yellow was caressed in ... but the twitch by his opponent on the long red was worse than
@dennistaylor147
black into the green pocket!
The tickets have been sold but ... certain people don’t turn up... time to release unclaimed seats ... maybe after frame 1 has finished to the fans who would love to be at the crucible?!
#Snooker
why so many empty seats at the Crucible - we really struggled to get tickets this year. I worry that a lot have gone to yours. Thoughts

@SteveSnooker
you have to admit it looks disappointing on the telly. Really frustrating.
Thanks Ergun! Yes he played the game on “his terms” as he’d also said during an interview in this tournament too. A calculated risk? Yes! He leaves himself more exposed but he has a better mental rhythm. Getting the other player out of their comfort zone is a clever game plan
@SteveSnooker
Please see the link below to Hendry’s Instagram interview with Ronnie in Lockdown. As Ronnie answers the question regarding why he played as he did against Selby. A real interesting listen. (Scroll to 29 min remaining.)
@soullessparty
My dad’s snooker room! 🥰 bit of a store room now. He’d kill me if he saw it now 😳 towards the end of my career I practiced loads there. Table is amazing and the best scoreboard I’ve ever seen. Going to be getting rid of it all soon 😳 check out the cigar case
@SHendry775
Happy 70th
@BarryHearn
so proud to call myself your friend ❤️ and what an amazing day at Les Bourdes. Massive 🤚 to
@EddieHearn
for an incredible surprise Golf day for your dad!
Enjoy your dinner! X
Wow! "Fifteen uncoupled simple pendulums of monotonically increasing lengths dance together to produce visual traveling waves, standing waves, beating, and random motion."
Oh my! Chip off the old block! No wonder

so highly ... not just cause Eddie is his son! Totally inspiring! It was great to have the older dog in my corner back in the day for exactly the same reasons!

It's about Snooker and me and my life in Snooker. In it I talk about the game of Snooker and the competitions that I played in. Away from the match table, I talk about the practice sessions building up to the matches and the techniques I employed when I was practicing. Enjoy!
A little tip for snooker fans. If you are intending to use the 4ms Spherical Wavetable Navigator in mono then use the right output not the left. It will save you hours of head scratching
I know Ian! They want everything their own way so they can concentrate to the best of their ability and play the best they can. It’s bloody ridiculous! It’s about time they focused on what’s happening on the table instead of all this other rubbish!
