Director of Trauma Informed Schools, Wales who facilitated an inspiring whole school trauma informed training day today.
As a result of advice from the Vale of Glamorgan Council and endorsed by the Welsh Government, all schools have been advised to close on Thursday and Friday due to the anticipated adverse weather conditions. We will expect to be open as normal on Monday.
Despite the best efforts of the Facilities Management team yesterday and this morning, conditions on site are still very difficult. As a result, the school will be open for Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13 ONLY.
Year 13 students are celebrating receiving fantastic A level results. These amazing results are a credit to the hard work and dedication of our students and the support that they have received from teachers and wider staff at St Cyres. Well done all.

for our Year 7 Skills evening where we are discussing how we can support the development of Digital Competence, Literacy and Numeracy Skills. Students will also be collecting their iPad to support learning in lessons.
From tomorrow Monday 9th November your child will need to bring a face mask to school as they will be expected to wear this in corridors and indoor communal spaces. If a pupil forgets to bring their own mask, a mask will be provided for use on that day.

As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week which happened just before Easter we have been raising awareness of neurodiversity and challenging the stereotypes and misconceptions through presentations in assemblies, display screens and learning coach time.
