This is why Candace Owens did hip-hop platforms that wouldn’t fact check what she says. She speaks with authority and anyone without knowledge can get easily intimidated.
The minute actual data is brought up, she hides
Tupac’s estate has hit Drake with a cease and desist for using his voice on “Taylor Made”. He has 24 hours to take it down.
“…a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use.”
Drake’s latest Instagram Story references these “Euphoria” lyrics 👀
“I'm the biggest hater / I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress / I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it's gon' be direct.”
“Euphoria” is great rapping. It’s not exposing Drake for anything we didn’t already know (Pusha already did that). It’s not trolling (like using 2Pac AI).
It’s taking facts and putting it on wax for 6 min and 24 seconds. The end.
Here’s the connections to “6:16 in LA” so far:
-June 16 is 2Pac’s bday
-June 16 is Father's Day
-June 16 was start of The People vs. OJ Simpson
-June 16 was the funeral of Nicole Brown Simpson
-‘Euphoria’ show premiere
-Corinthians 6:16
Kendrick Lamar with the 6x entendre
Two reporters at Rolling Stone worked on an expose about Puff for six months and contacted over 300 people.
This is the kind of time and resources media needs to do their job.
The best Pimp C moment: Jay-Z asked Pimp C why he was wearing a fur coat in the heat for “Big Pimpin” ….and Pimp C responded: “TV ain’t got no temperature” 🔥🙏🏽
Drake is trying to bait Kendrick Lamar into a fast (and sloppy) response with his social media trolling. Kendrick is patient and meticulous. See: Law

Master the art of timing
I think this artwork from “Meet the Grahams” are things belonging to Drake: the MMG gloves, receipts, pill bottles.
It would seem that Kendrick is saying that he has access to inside the OVO camp ….and into Drake’s life
My first hip-hop internship was at Bad Boy Records. I briefly worked in Diddy’s office when he dated Cassie. It was my dream job. I never saw or experienced abuse.
But that’s my story. It’s important we don’t get blinded by biases or fandom and let victims share their stories
9 years ago, a female writer (ironically named Meaghan) wrote about outgrowing Drake. Many day 1 fans agreed with her. His stans trolled and cyberbullied her mercilessly.
I suggest you read it

Kanye West apologizes to the Jewish community:
“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting
Euphoria is the best record of this battle.
Kendrick won on: actual rapping, credibility, cultural impact, better records, timing and release strategy.
The Aubrey’s Angels gotta take the L.
@GerrickKennedy
Several of our industry colleagues have spoken about how they greatly admired or worked for Puff. Because of this, they were/are hesitant to speak out. “He was cool with me so…”
Personal biases or professional opportunities shouldn’t cloud discourse and criticism
Some personal news... I signed my first book deal!
‘Fashion Killa: How Hip-Hop Revolutionized High Fashion’ is the story of rappers, designers, hustlers and iconoclasts who invented the art of drip— and changed how we dress.

So the Kendrick Lamar special features:
Fried rice with the dip sauce
Fried shrimp with chilis
Fried chicken with chilis
BEEF and broccoli …hot off the wok
And the dude said the BEEF was the best 😭
The chef at New Ho King has a sense of humor
Kendrick has accused Drake of having sex offenders on OVO payroll, hiding (another) child and being a pedophile....and his home will be raided.
"Fuck a rap battle. He should die so all of these women can live with a purpose"
Beyonce has been at the top of the game for over 25 years.. but she still experiments, sets new records and surprises fans. That’s a true artist

Drake shares new post about the
#GRAMMYs
:
“All you incredible artists remember this show isn't the facts it's just the opinion of a group of people who's name are kept a secret 🤫😂 (literally you can google in) congrats to anybody winning anything for hip hop but this show
A lot of people don't know why Drake is an executive producer on a show about a bunch of high schoolers called "Euphoria".
I guess Kendrick is wondering too
Cam'ron and Mase say Drake won round 1 vs Kendrick so far, mainly because 'euphoria' took too long to drop
"Drake is definitely winning from an MC standpoint... it was a good record (Kendrick's) that we waited awhile for..."

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100. A song about Drake being an alleged predator is the number one song in the country. Let that sink in
This rap battle has exposed whose opinions on music I never want to hear moving forward. So many bad takes, lukewarm takes, politicking and crew loving 😂
Aubrey’s Angels social media team working overtime. “The opps”? 😂
I have an actual job covering hip-hop, not fanning and slobbing off a man who calls himself a boy. Go back to the owl cage and tell Aubrey he’s on the clock
Ex Aubrey Angel/OVO fan girl Sowmya Krishnamurthy
@SowmyaK
goes out sad after being clowned by idol Drake after 14 years of trying to interview him. She deleted her old tweets about being a fan and now constantly participates in his “elimination” with the opps. Thoughts? 💭🤔
Could Drake and Vory written “Mob Ties” together and Vory cut the reference so Drake had something to use as a guide when recording later? Maybe. It’s not uncommon among singers
But again, this is *supposed* to be hip-hop
I told you Drake was gonna go full pop. That’s the best room for him now. Camilla Cabello says she slid in his DMs to connect and calls him “the f-king GOAT”
That’s his audience
On this day in 1999, Def Jam rolled out one of my favorite marketing plays of all time:
They released the DMX album on 12/21 & the Jay-Z album on 12/28 to assure they’d have the last
#1
album of the 1900s and the first
#1
album of the 2000s.
Both went
#1
with ease. RIP DMX.
“You would be a worthy competitor if I was really a predator and you weren’t lying to every blogger and editor. But it is what it is”
Drake sounds defeated on “The Heart part 6”. Put a fork in it.
Kendrick rapped verses to Drake's whole family tree...This is why battling a Pulitzer Prize winner is a bad idea. Writers love this creative shit for no reason
Clarence Thomas is 75. Samuel Alito is 74. Roberts and Sotomayor are 69. If Trump wins in November, he is virtually guaranteed to appoint replacements for 2 of these justices, if not more.
On the ballot this November is the Supreme Court majority for the rest of our lives.…
Listen to "Family Matters" and "meet the grahams"... Drake and Kendrick ARE NOT THE SAME.
Kendrick was patiently waiting and dropped a response MINUTES after rapping to Drake's whole family (including his alleged secret daughter).
THIS ROUND IS OVER. Kendrick won.
There’s not a whole lot of ammo to go after Kendrick (unless Drake or Cole had inside info). It was gonna be “I rap better than you”
What other jabs were you expecting? “Your Pulitzer sucks?”
Kendrick says he made 'Mr Morale" so babies like Drake's alleged unclaimed daughter had music to cope with. "I never want to hear you chase a man because of his behavior"
He's off the chain and I love it.
Let’s say Drake is telling the truth that he was feeding Kendrick bad intel. The fact everyone believed he was hiding another child, took Ozempic and was a predator means he has major image issues.
Your credibility and integrity need work
I hope hip-hop media outlets hire actual journalists to cover the Sean Combs legal proceedings. It's cool to repost podcast hot takes but this is a major news story that needs to be covered with professionalism and nuance.
So far, I haven't seen anything near that.
Kendrick has gone full Drake on Drake. He's pulled all the plays out of Aubrey's book
-club diss record (check)
-Instagram (check)
-back-to-back songs (check)
I ran into three young NYC dudes while shopping in LA… I asked them about Drake vs Kendrick vs J. Cole and they said: “All of them are 40 years old. We don’t care about them”
😭
This is a valid argument. The way Pusha surgically dismantles Drake …while psychoanalyzing him and revealing his skeletons is more damaging than those other records.
How do you even respond to that?
Between Young Thug and rap lyrics on trial, every hip-hop media outlet should have sent reporters to cover this story...
Instead, we'll get regurgitated reporting, drama headlines and podcasters giving uninformed legal opinions.
Lil Wayne especially … Jay-Z is Jay-Z. Few delude themselves to thinking they can be him.
But Wayne really had/has rappers thinking this is good for hip-hop.
Pick up a pen, pencil, Notes app, something.
Someone sent me this: Juvenile .. know this.. Your willingness to do Tiny Desk opened many old school artists eyes to what they could do. Peace & Blessings!
#2024
Pusha T sampled Jay-Z's "The Story of OJ" for "The Story of Adidon" in 2018.
In 2024, Kendrick references OJ's black gloves, his trial start date and wife's funeral with "6:16 in LA"
The long game.
In the light of day, “Family Matters” is a fine response. Drake is leaning into 20 v 1. It’s a cool record.
But “Meet the Grahams” is diabolical. The beat, Kendrick’s psychotic calm tone, privacy violation artwork, talking to Drake’s family, timing.
It’s surgical + terrifying
