Today I had my first jab and it was the first time in over a year I could smell flowers and fresh air. My sense of smell is back and not distorted anymore. No taste yet and breathing still not normal. Hoping it’s my way back slowly from long Covid though 🙌🏽 ❤️

Some days are harder than others. Today has put so much of life in perspective for me. It doesn't matter if you are honest, law-abiding, good to others, the reality is that the people who hold the power don't always do the right thing. It's important you find your own peace.

Today was a good day. I usually spend my time and energy helping others and putting them first. Today for the first time in a very long time, I made a decision based on what I want and it didn't feel selfish at all. It felt right. Why haven't I done more of this before 🤷🏽‍♀️

Today is a #GoodNewsSaturday . I ventured out to Halifax, where we used to live. Hair done, hairdresser announced she's pregnant. Bought my first ever M&S thermals, and then had a coffee at @ThePieceHall that looks stunning even in the rain 😍 Happy holidays x

This was my daddy! He gave up everything he had ever known to move to another country to give his family a better life. For me - a Muslim woman - he gave me love, confidence, freedom and life to be who I am today. My dad was a true feminist! #MyHero #HappyFathersDay 🙌🏽
