CRAZY CLOUDS: My former art teacher who now lives near Gorham, NH snapped this **AWESOME** pic of asperatus or WAVE clouds. This occurs when there's a large amount of turbulence and rotation as a low pressure system moves out. That's what brought us all that rain. Neat stuff!
If you watched tonight's newscast, you may have noticed something different on my graphic. I am proud to announce that I am now the CHIEF METEOROLOGIST at WBOY 12News.
It is an honor and a privilege to work and…

This is a look at the Jackson, NJ fire 🔥 from 10 miles away and close up on W. County Line and Jackson Mills Roads (I live a few miles away from the fire). The air is hard to breathe close to I-195 and the haze and smoke are thick reducing visibility.

Declan Alan Benjamin Sincoff crossed the rainbow bridge on this day - Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
Declan was adopted from the Homeward Animal Shelter in Fargo, ND, and traveled to West Virginia and New Jersey where he was laid to rest.
I'm at the Freehold Raceway Mall and there is a mix of snow ❄️ and sleet. I was just in Manalapan and Monroe, where it was all light snow - that's only a 9 mile difference!
How are the conditions by you?

Pattern recognition at its finest with some weather history.
HEADS UP! Rain is pushing into NJ from PA and will start to cause breezy showers at lunch. Heavy rain and flooding, along with damaging wind gusts are all possible as the day goes on.

Some awesome photos from a small hike at Blackwater Falls. I've always wanted to see it in the snow and ice. I may have tripped to get these shots for our new weather graphics, but it was worth it. A few minutes of meditation at the falls in the single digits. Well worth it.
I was able to anchor the noon news and do the evening weather today. Crazy stuff in this business we call news...WHAT A RUSH! And I loved every second of it.
THESE KIDS WERE SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS - Logan spotted this upside down rainbow 🌈🌈 in Washington Twp in Bergen County. It's such a cool phenomenon - also known as a circumzenithal arc!

Lots of us are dealing with the Cricket, AT&T, and T-Mobile outages today.
There are lots of rumors and misinformation going around that this is related to last night's solar flare. IT IS NOT!
Solar flares affect HF communications, not UHF, where cell phones operate.

FEEL THE PAVEMENT before you go on a walk! With warm temps and a stronger sun angle, the blacktop gets a lot hotter and could burn our furry friends' paws. Put the back of your hand on the ground for a few seconds - if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them. Stick to grass!
