My daughter 💗💗💗
Beatrix Jane Wilson. 8lbs7oz of pure love arrives Wednesday 26th January at 9:15am
Unfortunately after a 4.5litre haemorrhage after a natural Labour I needed life saving surgery and 4 transfusions. All ok now. So thankful to still be here to be your mummy 💗💗
I moved to
@BBCRadio2
to carry on listening to
@scott_mills
…. Thought I would hate it! However I’ve realised I am in fact well and truly middle aged and much prefer these tunes 😂!
#imgettingold
After the heartbreak of finding out we had had a missed miscarriage on Christmas Eve last year, the last 7 months have been such a dark and lonely place. However this little rainbow baby has put light back into my life ❤️🌈. Baby wilson due January 2022
Awful reporting from
@BBCR1
this morning… saying we need to reduce our meat consumption in the UK to reduce environmental damage is WRONG on so many levels!! Emissions from UK beef is half that of the global average! And only 10% of all emissions in the UK comes from agriculture
When is this absolute farce going to stop
@BBCR1
!!! Your newsbeat presenter stating that the number 1 cause of climate change is ‘cow farts’ is NOT TRUE!!! And absolutely ridiculous!!!! Please stop this attack on UK agriculture
#COP26Glasgow
There was a wedding in the hotel last night… there’s a girl wandering around in an evening dress carrying her shoes at 8am…. It feels like normality is resuming 😂😂😂
Say whatever you want about
@KatiePrice
but she’s an absolutely amazing mum! You can really tell how much Harvey loves her. Breaking my heart 💔❤️
#harveyandme
Are the
#bbc
on commission for every new vegan they convert???? If
@BBCR1
tell me one more time I can save the environment by going vegan I’ll scream!!!! Going vegan is not the answer to climate change!!!!! (And please note I don’t care that bourbon biscuits are vegan either) 🙃
Imagine:
Helping on the ban of illegal ivory trade in China
Creating a task force to protect endangered wildlife
Launching an Award to try to save the world
...and then people complain about you shooting grouse to eat 🤦🏼♀️
Carry on Prince William

As someone who supports and works in the dairy industry, a baby with a cows milk protein allergy wasn’t ideal! However this is the first week since she was 3 weeks old I’ve not had to buy any oat ‘milk’/juice as she’s fully passed the milk ladder!! 👏🏽💃🏼!

Everyone told me having kids was expensive…. And I thought childcare, nappies etc… not one person forewarned me about the small fortune I would be spending on berries! My one year old has just inhaled a full punnet of £3.50 raspberries in about 60 seconds! 😭🙃😂
Last years holiday.... southern tip of Italy visiting the infamous cave restaurant! €600 meal! This year... Scottish highlands, make up free, eating a bbq burger in my pjs outside out campervan 😂😂! Loving life! 🚌😍
Pretty much 95% of the emails I’ve sent this morning have come back with an out of office till after Christmas email… is anyone else still working?? 🧐😂
My last on farm day before maternity leave starts in 3 1/2 weeks…. I can totally blame pregnancy hormones that I cried because I’ll miss cows right?? 😂🤦🏼♀️🥺
It was one of my goals to compete again at a
@CrossFit
comp but this time as a mummy! Managed to come 20th out of 240 girls!
Still a long way to go but not too bad for a mid 30s woman who had a baby last year! Those 4:30am alarms for the gym are paying off 🏋🏼♀️💁🏼♀️
Fresh out the oven this morning 😍🐮! This girl had more than enough space for that close up dry/calving period. 10,000L animal is going to need, minimum, 10m2 of lying space during that
#transitionperiod
to limit stress, standing and to increase DMI

Hot Hot Hot this week!!
Now, more than ever, it’s vital to ensure your dry cows have adequate water supply!
10cm of access per cow 💧
Minimum of two water access points per pen 💧
Flow rate of 10L/min 💧
Water - the cheapest and often most forgotten nutrient on farm 🐄🐄
Are you
#rumenfill
scoring your dry cows?
Rumen fill is the result of dry matter intake, ration composition and digestion. It’s really useful for identifying DMI problems. Close up dry cows should be scored daily!
A minimum of a score 4 should be seen!

Makes me laugh when people think staying away all the time with work is super glamorous….
I mean getting back to this room at 10:30pm is the epitomy of glamour 🥴🙃😂!
Good job I love my job! 😂🐄
Also my mum -
‘What do you mean sexed semen??’
Semen that will guarantee a female calf mum.
‘But semen is just male? Women don’t have semen?’
.... are you from farming background?? No, no definitely not! 😂😂😂🙈🙈🙈
Oh what a night! A fantastic result in London, Peter Reid, Barry Horne and James Vaughan in fine form, and 200 Blues to get the Christmas festivities underway, we all hope you had a lovely evening and from all of us, Thank You for supporting another special night! 💙
This is 34 🎉💖🎊
I’ve aged the quickest I ever have this year and more wrinkles than ever before. But this is by far the best birthday I’ve had… being a mummy is the best present anyone could have 💖
One of the biggest driving factors of transition success is Dry Matter Intake.
Dry cows need about 0.8m of feed space to maximise their intakes. Less than this can result in more aggressive displacements and increase stress. Subordinate cows and heifers are more at risk
#drycows
That ‘I left the house at 5:50am and 15 hours later I am home from work’ face 🙈🙃!
Lots of exciting opportunities and fab farm visits but right now... I need my bed 😴
Another brilliant day with Parklands Vets. Great discussion on
#transitioncow
management and nutrition! Thank you to Conor Casey at Carnhill Holsteins for hosting us today

Mum guilt is one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced 😭😭😭!
With having to drop her off at 7:30am and not getting home from Penrith till 6:30pm…. I’ve seen her for an hour today before she fell asleep on me! 💔! No one warned me about this part!
Water access is one of the top limiting factors in transition cow sheds. The first rule of thumb is that there should be at least two locations per shed to decrease the ability of a dominant cow to block water access. 10cm/cow of clean water should be provided

Super proud of my little brother
@Benjwinst
and the rest of the
@thebullensview
lads! From a small podcast to sell out events in less than a year!! Amazing 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Incredible night last night
@thebullensview
Makes you seriously proud to be a blue and support this football club.
@Dannycadz
Dave Watson and Kevin Sheedy where brilliant too. Massive shoutout to the
@Nashville_EFC
for coming over from USA and we hope you enjoyed your night 💙
How close to calving are you moving your dry cows?
If cows are isolated in a calving pen too close to calving, the stress of isolation may result in further reduction of DMI and an increase in the risk of ketosis and immunocompromise.

#teamdairy
We did it bump!!!
You were the highest unborn baby in the UK today!!
Might have taken mummy 1hr30 mins longer than it usually takes but today we got you to the highest point in the UK - Ben Nevis Summit - 1,345m!!!!
❤️❤️🤰🏼🤰🏼🥺🥺
Got to love when PETA try telling you that avocados flown over from South America have more of a carbon footprint than the locally reared piece of steak I had at the weekend 🙈
Why are we giving these people a platform!!
@GMB
Brilliant few days as always in Northern Ireland.
Lots of discussions surrounding
#transitioncowmanagement
and how improving cow comfort can help improve health, fertility and milk production!
(Apologise to whoever is sat next to me on the plane… I stink of cows 😂🐄)
An absolutely brilliant day today at
@davidirwin1988
with
@ARN_Home
@ElancoLivestock
and Parklands Vets. Talking all things transition management and nutrition with 59 farmers.
Register now for our 2nd meeting tomorrow in Cloughmills 🐄🐄
