Yesterday we safely discharged a further 12 patients who had been treated for COVID-19. This brings our total number of discharges to 85.
Thank you to our teams for their continued hard work and dedication to our patients.
We've got some fantastic news to round off Monday.
Today, we have discharged the only remaining patient who had tested positive for Covid-19 which means for the first time since March, there are currently no confirmed positive Covid-19 patients in Rotherham Hospital.
We are pleased to announce that in total, we have now safely discharged 130 patients from Rotherham Hospital who tested positive for Covid-19 coronavirus.
While this is great news, it is important that everyone continues to follow the national guidance and stay at home.
Over the last few weeks, we have safely discharged 73 patients who were being treated for coronavirus.
We wish them all the very best for their recovery & we thank our hard-working, dedicated colleagues for the care they provide to our patients
We’re sending huge

Today the NHS will be presented with the George Cross at Windsor Castle by Her Majesty The Queen.
The George Cross recognises the “courage, compassion & dedication” of staff during the pandemic & their service to the public for the last 74 years.
Congratulations to the Trust’s Dotty Watkins, who has won a Gold Award from the Chief Midwifery Officer for her services to the profession.

Tomorrow we will be taking part in a minutes silence at 11am to pay tribute to all the NHS staff and key workers that have lost their lives due to the coronavirus.
While lockdown restrictions are easing tomorrow, we all have to continue following social distancing, wear face coverings and follow good hand hygiene. If you do go to the pub this weekend, please be sensible.
We're pleased to say that in total we've now discharged 155 patients who had tested positive for Covid-19.
While this is good news, it's important to remember that this virus can have serious consequences and we must all continue to follow national guidance to stay at home.
In our first Special Recognition Award we've decided to award a very good boy indeed.
Thank you, Thunder, for bringing so much joy to our Trust with your cuddles and off-the-chart cuteness!
Congratulations!!!
