SEASON 3 TIME
Follow along to see what spooky movies I discover this year (I know I'm a little late since it's the 2nd but I was too busy yesterday to make the tweet 😂)
What's that? Time for the long awaited sequel? Why yes it sure is! This thread will serve to document all the horror movies I watch throughout this, the spookiest of months.
@g4ys0n
I dont think it's necessarily Akela misunderstanding why we love her, I think she just has to pretend to be professional and thoughtful for the interviews 😂
"So there's 3 eras of Tomb Raider and the Fandom is split among mainly the classic era and the survivor era. The middle era mostly just likes every era and usually keep to themselves but there's a lot of bickering about which version of Lara Croft is the best"
To me, that little maneuver over those two bars is one of Lara's most iconic moves and I think about it so often. It's so deliciously extra like she didn't have to do all that but I'm so happy she did and I want her to do it again
I know we're all worried about the lack of promo for the remasters, but instead of just asking "why" into the void, let's just start our own promo cycle 😂
#TombRaiderRemasters
are coming out next month, get hyped!
@ChrisCarpineti
The way I would kinda love to run into something as wild as that in real life lmao. Like just the most absurd thing to assault the visual senses. Completely scramble my sanity.
I'd also like for TR to take a break from "saving the world" as a plot line. Classic and LAU tr rarely ever made Lara's adventures so that she needed to be the hero. She mainly was just trying to capture artifacts that she wanted from other people trying to get them as well
While playing the Remasters I’ve had so many thoughts on the future of Tomb Raider and what unification could mean. There’s always discourse on what she looks like but what we need is the gameplay to go back to its roots. More than just an action game with duals.
Imagine if the end of Shadow had been something like this where when Winston brought Lara her "tea", and he lifts the lid to the platter revealing dual pistols followed by Lara going "lovely"
"seeker of truth? Oh TR is cooked"
...do people really think Lara ONLY seeks out artifacts because shiny? Girl that woman is an accomplished archeologist. She thrives off uncovering the truths of the old world. Why is it suddenly a bad thing just because they gave her a moniker
@TheHorrorGuru
Let's not forget the "they're trying to erase femininity, let women be pretty and stop trying to turn them all into ugly men" brigade 🙄😂
Being vaccinated does NOT mean it’s ok to take your friends on a cruise to find a mythical Japanese island shrouded in supernatural storms ruled by an ancient magical ancestor of your best friend
I just think the expression this painting captures on Lara's face is the most perfect depiction I've seen. It's so fierce and determined and I'm obsessed. Still one of my favorite pieces of Lara art ever
The talk of Tomb Raider being porny is so silly when not a single exposed breast nor nary a sex scene has made an appearance in any of the games. I had hoped we'd moved on as a society from "*gasp* is that skin? Cover her up!" 😂
SO YOU SEE THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT ERAS OF TOMB RAIDER AND AS A RESULT, THREE ITERATIONS OF LARA CROFT BUT DEEP IN THE FANDOM SOME DON'T LIKE SPECIFIC VERSIONS AND IT'S A SOURCE OF CONTENTION AMONGST FANS ON THE INTERNET BUT EACH HAVE THEIR OWN MERIT AND WORTH AND ARE ALL COOL
When you put yourself into the perspective of Mathias's men, you really see why Lara is such a scary woman. What looks to be an unsuspecting harmless girl who poses no threat, then suddenly she just blasts through a gate with grenades and a whole slew of guns? Girly is nuts fr
I just wanna know why the two franchises can't coexist without being pitted against each other. Making it into a competition is just so silly cuz Like they're all fun movies at the end of the day
That's more than 2001's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider ($274.7 million), 2003's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life ($160 million), and 2018's Tomb Raider reboot ($274.65 million).
@blueromanticss
I really really cannot fathom what Rachel did to garner so much hate other than being successful, talented and a woman. Like she's such a delightful person in every clip I see her in. Like it makes zero sense to me
