After 2 years of searching for a surrogate and nearly 8 months of appointments with doctors, counsellours and lawyers, I am pleased to say we have finished our surrogacy paperwork (>70 pages of documents) and have forwarded it all for approval 🥳🥳🥳

Day 2 of babysitting our 2y old goddaughter while her mum is in hospital👶🏻 I’ve slept ~4.5 hours/night 🥱 I now know the lyrics of baby shark & even have a choreography😂🦈 I learned doing ponytails are harder than they look 👧🏼😅 Hats off to all #WomenInSTEM mums, you rock 👏

My sister is 47y & is a doctor in Brazil She was offered the #astrazenecavaccine months ago 🙌(didn’t have adverse effects) Her partner now got #COVID19 😓 (vaccine wasn’t available to him yet) Even living in the same house she continues to be COVID-free ❤️science 🙏

So I’ve had cold symptoms since Wednesday (sore throat, blocked nose, headaches, very tired) & then on Friday developed some cough (no fever thou) I won’t be tested because I don’t fit the selection criteria to be tested. But I’ve decided to isolate myself anyway #covid19 1/

Just saw the announcement of the #NHMRC CTCS grants - an overall success rate of 6.9% (30/436)! However, for a change, female CIAs had 9.7% success rate compared to 4.9% of male CIAs Congratulations to the successful teams and commiserations to all 406 who missed out

On another note, our baby girl 🐶 Pepper finished her #chemotherapy today for #lymphoma diagnosed in March 🥳 The best news is that she is officially in remission 🙏❤️ It has been a long road, and especially difficult without support due to lockdown but hey we made it 🙌
